...not so easy this one. see pm.
not really very ingenious: increasing latency a little should help.
Hi @Mommersen - any plans for video demos and examples of your app?
There's the old desktop version, but you've not added anything for the new iOS/UI versions.
It'd help us 'on the fencers', and doubtless improve sales generally.
@Mommersen Are you planning to release older apps (Thesys/Egoist) on iPhone?
hey Monzo, we just didnt make it for the release...producing a trailer and some tutorials. Renovating the website, Egoist Update and Unique for iOS/new GUI for desktop kept all of us (we're five) pretty busy and the past days were taken trying to get the update/fix out. I can't promise anything or a timeframe, but we will come up with new videos for Unique. The older tutorials don't do much marketing-wise, but show some tricks in Unique:
no, these GUIs are pretty dense and until there's an iPhone ++ ;-) we won't release these on the small screen.
Seems reasonable![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks!
There's a vst demo of the new version which is always more useful than a video, if you own a computer.
Thanks for your efforts @Mommersen. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate all the hard work, always look forward to new Sugar bytes apps on ipad, Unique is great![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Hope that Thesys might get AB3 midi update when SDK is released.
@Mommersen the latest version of egoist exhibiting extreme lag on my 9'7. Same issue possibly?
Thanks for the reply, look forward to seeing the vids.
Like many others on here I'm a big fan of your products, so really appreciate the fact you're supporting the iOS platform - didn't realise it was such a small team!
+1
I'm also very grateful for the continued support and confidence in the iOS platform. And for taking the time to listen to your customers on this forum. It makes a huge difference.
Thanks, but users would like to use more than one instant of the instrument in a project
I own some sugar bytes effects apps, and I'll be picking up this synth too, since I don't own the desktop version.
But the pricing seems a bit strange.
Is the iPhone version 100% identical to the iPad version, except for any display or UI differences?
If the sound and engine is 100% the same, then 3 X the price is kind of weird, but that's just my opinion.
IAA record, remove IAA instance on track, create new track, load IAA, record. Repeat. How hard is that? Maybe I'm old fashioned but so much of the feedback/complaints on this forum are easily solved with just a little patience.
Don't take it personally, that was just the post that cracked my annoyance barrier.
Is iPhone version the same as iPad one in terms of sound/features? Also is it portrait or landscape? Cheers
Wonder this myself. Bought the iPad version (indeed in landscape), but have been wondering if was an un-savvy fool...
The only reason I'm asking is because the AppStore screenshots of Unique for iPhone are in landscape but I doubt the UI is the same as iPads. It would be super tiny on smaller iPhones.
I'm wondering this as well!
It's bizarre how I'm spending hundreds of £££ on building materials everyday and then try not to 'overspend' by buying and IPhone version that will save me a tenner...
...instead of trying to support my fav developer. Mmmm
I have the iphone version only but can't see any difference apart from the smaller gui. It's landscape. I'm sure I will get the ipad version too eventually.
At the end of the day though, it is solely the devs decision on how to price their apps, and how that might affect the sales of both versions.
Also for me the built-in keyboard, modwheel and pitchbend are still as sluggish and pretty much unplayable as before the update on my iPadPro 9.7. Can you please still look into this issue please. Seem more iPadPro 9.7 users seem to have this problem. Thanks!
Tried another apps keyboard?
Bought the iphone app on my ipad
So nice to see it doesn't have to sound like Daft Punk at all, (not that I don't like the Daft but the world has enough). Anyway, I will probably get the ipad version too eventually. Love all this modulation.
Anyone able to tap the 'Manual' button?
I think getting both will be worth it for the availability of two instances. I am such their target market.
we saw that...it's on the list and will be fixed with the next update, aiming for this week. thanks and sorry.
meanwhile you can check here: https://downloads.sugar-bytes.de/manuals/Unique_iPad.pdf
that's the one we are trying to solve right now - Egoist has similar problems, but the larger iPad Pro seems to be okay.
From what I overheard in the kitchen, it seems to be a mix between an oversized graphics routine (on our side) and some let's say different setup by the hardware on this device. As of yesterday afternoon we have a direction there and my feeling is we will solve it this week.
hmm, the pricing. maybe not the best subject to discuss it here. To be honest two things were not really on our minds: 1) that there's "universal apps" 2) that you can use the small-screen version on the big devices (kind of) - ...they are identical sound-wise btw.
maybe it's safe to say that we would do it differently in the future with a similar release. From an iPad user's perspective it's all good and reasonable to offer an universal app, but we also wanted a "low barrier" for an iPhone user who never heard of us maybe.
Jakob made a little intro video on Unique, 13 mins worth your while. In his own words: "creativity and good content on youtube". Comes highly recommended and thank you, Jakob, for the warm words!
