Yes definitely a top notch synth. I hope it will get the option to save and load different midi mappings, would be so useful. Also having an overlay display of all the mapping numbers when you toggle a button would also be a good thing as I find midi mapping on iOS frustrating in most apps. Apesoft and Moog are developers to follow in this area :)

How is cloud preset sharing enabled? When I open on my iPhone the presets on my iPad aren't shared.

Look forward to the new patch banks :)

Do you have your account logged on both devices? Have you tapped the sync button next to the cloud bank? Some people are experiencing some issues with cloud syncing. We need to investigate. Keep me posted.

  • May i ask if the IAP patches are already included in the plug-in?

The expansion IAP is free on the pc/mac plugin.

    I think so too ;)
I should be spread more on all the forums elsewhere too like Gearslutz, KVR (done this part....) and whatever....if not already done.
But updating the patch saving system could attract sound designer and patch users as well and could expand the customer base further.

That one is damn hard. It took me a while to get the Organ to "sing". You can do crazy organ sounds on this! The right patch for a sunday :) @MusicMan4Christ

Excellent patch fantastic sounding organ! I have to wait to get an itunes card before I get DRC.

Thx man, i got this sound in may different variations. Sounds insane with the fabfilter reverb, but i record the patches with internal effects only...

All about spreading the love for the excellent apps! At this point i can say with confidence, that this is my favorite analogue modeling synth right now on iOS, or anywhere. I'm not sure what benefit i have from buying the plugin though...

Well, you can have several instances with the plug-in and you have the DAW integration (automations and such). It's a huge different!
But i must say that this app feels def. more home on a touch screen since the plug-in lacks some important things like mouse wheel support and proper patch management (the thing because i gave up on Korg).
If these things are sorted i would buy it.

As a sounddesigner i rely on the touch screen. I have much more powerful plugins on the desktop, but don't work with them because i don't really like it...

With patch sync that wouldn't be an issue. But 90 bucks is a little too much for that little ...especially since my Novation Peak is scheduled to arrive in a little over a month :D

I see it often the other way. Fine editing on touch screen is still a pain for me and i'm a lot faster with my trackpad. I can zoom in/out faster and whatever.
I also like to layer stuff (20 or more intances of different instruments with different FX).
    Preferences ;)

Sorry that is just very hard to believe. Maybe you should have your hand/eye coordination checked out...Or maybe stop using Korg Odyssei :-p

  • The way I work is I make the patches on the iOS app. But use them with multiple instances on my desktop daw.

I treat the ipad as an external soundmodule, and record/bounce the old way...It would be nice to be able to do that, i'm just not sure if i could justify 90 bucks for it...

That's a sweet deal! Too bad it doesn't work on my Galaxy S5, crashes instantly. Never expected to make any music with my droid anyway...

Yea still good! If i were them, i would price the iOS at 24,99 and the Desktop at 49,99. Like in the other thread, the price difference 10 to 90 just makes no sense...

Other really nice plugins are in the same range, like: https://tal-software.com/products/tal-u-no-lx

considering i paid 120$ for Xfer's Serum at launch and that now costs 180$,
I'm pretty happy with my 45$ DRC :) between the two synths and all my ios synths
piped into my desktop via the Ica4+ i'm pretty happy :D

Is still an undocumented feature as we have been gradually deploying it.

Start by opening a DRC instant on your Desktop. Then, on the mobile, with the two devices on the same network, open DRC. Choose Menu->Connections. See if there is a connection available. Tap on it. You should be prompted on the desktop side to accept the connection. Say yes. By that time, the mobile should have a color border stating it is connected. Move a parameter on mobile. It should move on desktop as well. Try it and let me know.

I'm not near me desktop currently but i will try it later. i'm curious about something. what happens when there are multiple instances ? can i jump between them in the IOS app ?

  • If the ios version supported AU it would be an instant buy, but im not sure if i need another non au synth.

  • Big thanks to whoever mentioned daylight mode. Great discovery to find that the settings scroll. Easier on the eyes now

Right is only prepared to handle with one instance. Multiple instance support will require more time and effort.

  • @sinosoidal There's an issue with the amount of ports which DRC can see at once, I think this could be part of my problem when connected to my interface. I think the max is 14 on screen but I have way over that when connected to my iCA4 and Audiobus midiflow adapter at once, can't scroll down to see the other ports.

Do you think they are being listed but are not enabled? I don't have that many ports so I have never predicted a scrolling midi ports list.

I think they might still be enabled. you just can't see them. Here's my current view. But you can't see all the audiobus midiflow adapter ports
