I'm so looking forward to BM3!
From what I have seen so far - its THE app I've been looking for, and the only app so far that I feel I want to spend huge amount of time and investment in = learning it like a mutha, really investing in a personal library, and incorporating Push into a forced marriage.
The specs on site blow me away !!!!!!!
    Can't wait :p

Same here! I was cleaning up the other day and found 3 spiral bound Beatmaker manuals that I had printed at Staples. That's the first thing I do when I get a long awaited exciting software/app. Does anyone know if there will be a .pdf BM3 manual available upon release?

  • I find myself musically shut down until July 15th :|

  • Man , i keep making beats in BH2 and being like "if only i could host Mood and Wavemapper AU in here" so im hella stoked for BM3

Uhhhh... in other news, SynthScaper is out!

  • Christmas in July... synthscaper/beatmaker?

I'm sure I've asked the beta dudes but have forgotten, what kind of sample layering does bm3 have and also does it have pad link?

Looks great! One more week to see it in our devices :)

You can layer as many samples as you like and add velocity-ranges to them if needed.
Linking pads is also possible using 'Link Group'. Choke Groups are also available.

I do feel we'll see a load more videos popping up as the app is already approved :)

  • I thought an NDA prevented the timeline being shown to the public. Still. Thanks @Dubbylabby :)

I don't think other players in the game could copy anything in a week anyways...

  • Let the games begin!

  • Some new screenshots in the intua insta account. Looking good.

@Samu what would be the cases where you need to open Cubasis instead of BM3 (except Minilogue and such)? I´m curious whether I need both, or whether BM3 will suffice.

I think it'll just be out of old habit and based on what one is used to?!

The graphical design of Cubasis is easier on my eyes for extended periods of time and I have forwarded my thoughts on this to the developer in hope that we'll some day see alternate less contrasty colour themes.

But it's all a matter of taste...

Well yep, it is a matter of taste. I really like the color scheme on bm3, darker background doesent pop in my eyes too much, but the important stuff can be seen easily due to contrasty and colorful theme. Just makes everything as clear as possible for me. But its good to have options for people who have a different taste. Dunno how worth it it is to make them over other stuff, if resources are limited

  • Really hope that this app gets Ableton Live export. Think that would be a good move for intua.
Does it have multiple audio out channels?

You can export each track/pad as individual file and cram as many AUv3's and IAA-Effects per track or pad as your iOS device can handle. If your audio device supports multiple outputs the pads, banks and audio-tracks can be assigned to them as well...

In practice you could use BM3 as an AUv3 & IAA host similar to AUM or AB3 if needed.

I suspect that full Live Export is in the backlog together with even more goodies :)

I forget if I asked this before. But it does have Ableton link doesn't it ? In that case it might actually replace AUM for my ableton/iOS ica4+ sessions.....

It's got Link and you can enable stretch for samples and audio and they will adapt...

  • Are the color schemes headache inducing or just mildly hallucinogenic :)

Haha, there's no 'disco mode' left in the app, that was a 'bug' that made everything flicker at ~30hz or so...
The colours are mixture between somewhat high-contrast neon and pastel colours :D

I'd say it works for the most part but since the theme is quite 'dark' the screen brightness of the iPad may need to be turned up and that in turn can reduce battery time...
