so will it have note replace loop recording or not? Aka, record a loop, play over it, and the new notes replace the old notes in the loop

    doesn't bm2 already do that?

I should've clarified: the new notes only replace old notes when they coincide leaving a seamless blend between the two. Does bm2 do that? Bm3?

@Alex fox that's my main request for KRFT

so when you're recording you want to blend but replace any clashes?

Funny, it's all felt like edging to me from the start.

Yeah. I mean I really just want to be able to record on section until I get it right instead of having record mode just keep extending the loop length. But being able to toggle between those would be perfect because the current way of KRFT is good for adding variations to a loop.

Yeah it's really musically useful. You can correct notes live by simply punching them in while recording/improvising rather than in a piano roll. You can also use it to craft inspired melodies you normally wouldn't come up with having to record it perfectly in one take or composing it in the piano roll. Basically allows one to fine tune their melodies and phrases live and brings a new usefulness to working with loops. The basic rule of thumb is that the live incoming notes replace and cut off the previously recorded notes when they coincide, no matter the duration of the previously recorded notes. If a new note is sustained over an old note, the old note is erased and cut off as well.

  • oh I see, you meant replace old notes without erasing old notes if you're not triggering anything... not sure if bm2 does that.

  • Glad July 15 is a Saturday. :)

  • I bet it's going to be a hell of an announcement!

Need help I think. I'm looking forward to this one, seeing what all the stuff has been about, but also because I have high hopes (not just expectations...), BUT I was driving down a local boulevard this morning and found myself thinking vaguely philosophically as regards 'better live, could get hit by a bus tomorrow' etc and then found myself (unbidden) feeling anguished because if it happened tomorrow BM3 still wouldn't be out and I'd never see what all the fuss was about etc etc.

They say it's good to have a hobby, but, you know....

    Haha.
I'm marking time with this the way I do with World Cup qualifiers. July 15 is in my head as a day that I can't make plans on.

  • Is disappointed a word I can use for this? All the hype for a couple chords? Seen better on instagram with users doing the betas

  • I guess it would qualify as a teaser, @stormywaterz; what are these Instagram posts you speak of?
