He actually had dominion over many dogs, most of them didn't make it.

    Now I feel sad :(

Thanks for posting this... the exam will be next Tuesday at 2pm

  • Loving the look of BM3.

Thanks for the little clip. What I love about it is that something so simple just looks beautiful from a UI perspective. If the workflow and stability match the UI appearance, man, we are all in for a treat.

But this is the great test, no? These guys have always had lots of chops, but they've been placed in odd parts of the kitchen. For me (me, me) BM3 is all about the UX; have they nailed the workflow?

Someone before mentioned compatibility with the 12.9" ipad, and the answer was that BM3 was "responsive", but I wonder if that means that it uses native resolution and is specifically adapted to the screen to use the extra real estate, or is simply blown up to fill the screen?

Am about 80% decided on buying a new 12.9" over 10.5" (currently on air2) and am trying to assess if most apps are optimised for the larger one in general. BM3 would be a big argument for going bigger if specifically optimised.

There's hardly any apps optimized for the 12.9 inch screen.

    Still no iPhone screen shots.
Means that iPhone users might miss the 7 day intro sale (if they don't buy via i-tunes on their mac/PC).
I can live with it but beware of the next shit storm from the crowd :#

It's been pretty much confirmed that iPhone isn't going to be present at launch by the devs. Just that it will come some time later.

So like i said, no sale for iPhone only users.
Not a problem for me but maybe for others.

  • If I were a dev reading these forums all I would think is, "Man these people frea..."

And this is where my better half stops me :p

  • I a few questions regarding the inminent BM3 for Matieu, Samu or beta testers:
    Has BM3 bluetooth midi support?
How about the performance in Air 1? Good? Not enough? Thanks

I have the Korg NanoKEY Studio and it connects just fine and the over all performance on my iPad Air 2(iOS10.3.2) is pretty good!

I can't say anything about the performance on other devices...

I inquired several pages back and was told good to go on air 1.

Same here but I will be installing iOS11 the moment it leaves beta as there is just too many goodies to ignore.
    iOS10.3.3 should drop soonish too...

  • Thanks. Great news :) I'll upgrade my device in a few months but is good to know.

  • I'm guessing Beatmaker 3 might not run too great on an iPad mini 2 retina?

Ah! Ok that's comforting to know the mini 2 is being tested, thanks Samu

One thing I've noticed with Intua is that backwards compatibility is respected, I'm still using BM 2.6X on the first IPad with zero issues. BM3 does so much more it seems, in terms of piling up interconnectivity + realtime processing, so CPU will be more intensive.

This is also good to know. I do have BM2 but it's not installed on my mini presently. Unfortunately I've not too much experience with it. Think at that time I should have been learning
    BM3 has my full attention
    Never too late to learn

BM2 is a great piece of soft especially given its current price. It has its idiosyncrasies (its filing system and GUI layering) but there is method to the madness - and it's still the best DAW for iPhone, it has the best sampler within a DAW, and is the only iOS DAW with Ableton Link. Likely that only BM3 will surpass it in these 3 areas, for the foreseeable future.

Waiting on BM3 reminds me of waiting on the addition of Audiobus and IAA into BM2. That was a big deal at the time...in my view access to synthesis inside BM2 was all that was lacking.

AND BRING ME THAT SAMMICH. But, if it's just sorted out the UX then all will be well in the garden.

The sampling feature appeals to me greatly and Ableton link is good for me too. May force me to find time at my desktop to use and learn Ableton better. Have always been a fan of method and madness :)
Waiting with everyone else at BM3s bus stop...
