Why are they hiding song mode?

Because they want to chew off my face?

  • Here's some screenshots of the sequencer and scene mode:

  • No audio in the sequencer? Only midi?

  • We have audio tracks too :-)

Oh yes! Looks like a game changer

  • Looks great @mathieugarcia

Can you have clips in tracks that only contain modulation data? So that you could move them independently of the note data?

  • @mathieugarcia BM3 looks so awesome. I'm really very excited about this. It was a long wait, but it looks it's going to top my expectations. Thank you for your hard work INTUA and creating a DAW that fills in a lot of missing pieces on the ios music platform. Instant download for me.

  • Warping audio in those audio tracks? I need it (and is the mainly feature makes me lust on BM3)

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Well actually I've been waiting for MONTHS for MPC Live to arrive (I wasn't testing BM3 back then). Now that it has arrived, it is collecting dust, waiting for a buyer.
    BM3 is THAT good.

@mathieugarcia the screens look great! Also an instabuy for me :)

I was wondering - are the above screens from the 12.9" version? And do you have a direct comparison of the UI between 9.7/10.5 and the 12.9 out of interest? To see how much extra real estate there is, especially with the timeline :)

[edit: on closer inspection the scaling looks like might be a smaller iPad but difficult to tell on my iphone]

  • Looking good @mathieugarcia :)
Have you any plans to implement Ableton Live export?

  • Does BM3 allow for different time signatures in a song? For example, can I have a scene in 4/4 and another one in 3/4?

Yes, we have pattern automation and track automations.

Really happy to read that, hopefully BM3 will match your expectations! Thanks!

Audio clips can be time-stretched, yes :-)
We use Elastique V3 Efficient as of now.

It was shot on an 10.5" iPad Pro. The 12.9" version takes advantage of the higher resolution and has more space for tracks etc.

Excellent news. Looking forward to launch date even though I'm probably not your target market. (I don't often use samples)

Definitely. We signed up for the SDK :-)
We'll add that in an upcoming update.

Not yet but this is due since BM2, and will make a lot of sense with scene mode!

    Great news!

  • @mathieugarcia one other thing: is there or have you considered Pencil specific support for editing stuff like automation and midi notes etc? Maybe it's more precise using the pencil anyway but would be interesting if there could be optimisation in that area.

  • @mathieugarcia How do we buy shares in Intua?

Will it support ableton link ? AB3 midi?

  • @mathieugarcia Thanks for the screenshots. The next thing you need to do is... Release it early! :)

  • Bloody hell. This looks like portable ableton live. I think I might just bin my other daws now.

  • Does BM3 runs on an Ipad4?

  • Will BM3 have sidechain for kick and bass?
