Just went ahead and tried editing automations and drawing on the step modulator. Pretty nice! I will sure check if any there is any kind of special improvements we can make.
Cheers!
We have Ableton Link and AB, but we didn't implement AB3 MIDI routing yet.
This looks really great, guys!
It does yes but you will have to refrain using CPU heavy features. We have some optimizations coming later on though.
Yes, our dynamics processor has side-chaining,
I'm aware about timestretching but I want something similar to warp markers for remixing. Anything that can do the job will be enough. I understand it's possibe in the slice page, right? It will work on timeline from them or so?
Looks great!
Another (2) question.. is ableton set export planned maybe? I think many users like me use ipad for quick fun stuff, but like to produce/mix on desktop.
Which sample rate is bm3 capable of?
Those two points for me are very important...
Thanks!
As of now that's only possible in the pad/instrument editor. We having plans to bring proper stretch markers and pitch automation, and we might even try to get Elastique Pro for higher quality edition.
ALS is planned yes! We want to emphasis on the mobile to desktop compatibility so ALS is one thing but we're also working on an macOS version of BeatMaker 3, as you might already know.
BM3 supports any sample rates that your device can work with, so basically 44.1kHz and 48kHz by default, and higher if you hook an USB audio interface.
Great! Thank you!
Beathawk still has some good instruments you can use inside of bm3. It just makes bm3 that much stronger.
Well, Thanks, I've already prepared the money and now I'm just waiting to spend it.

Great news
BM3 has it's own core midi port I assume? so you should be able to route AB3 midi through midiflow adapter until it supports AB3 midi input. Hopefully it will be a midi sender and receiver when it's compatible too.
Wasn't there a 'thing' that a AB3 compatible midi sender apps should mute it's own audio?!
During my beta-testing of BM3 I've found absolutely no need to use AB3 or AUM.
BM3 works very well as a 'host' for AUv3's and IAA's. And yepp, BM3 does have it's own Midi Port both In & Out.
Cool, yeah there are some nice midi setups and tricks using the AB3 midi and the midi filters which you can't do any other way in ios yet (at least until AUs can send midi) so I'm sure to be using it alongside BM3.
If I've understood @mathieugarcia correctly there's some pretty neat midi effects & filters in the pipe-line?
For example layering AUv3's & IAA's and Samples is already easy by just linking the pads
What's missing for now is to be able to set/select the velocity & key-range for the plug-ins.
For samples that's already easy to do using the mapping tab.
Agree with @Carnbot that I can't see BM3 replicating some of the MIDI stuff I've been using recently--and really don't expect it to, honestly. This could all change, obviously, once we get AU MIDI senders. Doesn't take away my interest in BM3 in the slightest, though...
Yes, finally!
Mmm, yes built in midi filters and effects are always welcome too of course
Just to be clear, you can still set the velocity and CCs for plugins though, right?
@mathieugarcia is Melodyne/Elastic Pitch styled pitch editing on your roadmap?
Now is that an iOS DAW or is that an iOS DAW?
Yepp!
You can also do AUv3 parameter automation/recording straight from the Plug-In UI if needed
And naturally they are available in the editor as well...
(Midi CC's feel so 'dated' in comparison).
So how difficult could be implement Launchpad feedback...? How anyone could help with it?
Bugger. I finally start to get to grips with cubasis, and, well, just LOOK at this thing!
@Samu @mathieugarcia looking forward to the release. Are there Scale Modes for keyboard playback. I find myself liking things to be played in E Minor these days.
Both scales and chords are available
I have however not been able to make the keys mode in pattern editor reflect the selected scale?!
(Meaning it shows all keys even when a scale is selected for the pad).
Any chance of getting a halved single waveform view like this? I always find it much more legible.
