because it wont have the same workflow and I dont want them focusing on too much and cant keep BM3 solid for IOS
From what I've seen of the UX so far (and s> @mathieugarcia said:
You thought correctly.
This actually makes me quite happy.
But let them earn some money. Maybe they should f.... the iOS version
C´mon, cross platform is THE way to go. You don´t have to use it.
I'm a huge fan of sample-based synthesis and BM3's got plenty of that under the hood.
Good source for wave-forms to get one started with is this...
https://www.adventurekid.se/akrt/waveforms/
Using multiple layers of wave-forms/samples, detuning or phase-inverting them gives a huge variety of 'shapes' as does controlling gain and saturation per layer. Add to that filters and extensive modulation capabilities and effects and it should keep a sound designer busy for quite some time
Add some step-modulators to switch between the wave-forms for chip-style wave-table sounds ur use LFO's for WaveStation style vector synthesis?
I've had a real blast during beta experimenting with the features while hunting bugs...
(Can't guarantee that I've nailed all of them but I've done my best, honest).
So, um, do I have to pay extra (IAP) to use all 64 pads of my Launchpad? Is the IAP information still embargoed? Nobody seems to want to answer this question...
No need for IAP to use all 64 pads, where did you get that from?!?
Hmm, this might be a good source for use in SynthScaper. Listened to a couple waveforms in audioshare. There are a good amount of lofi game sound waveforms.
This will run on my iPhone 4s and will be free if I own bm2 right??
Looks awesome. Advanced congratulations and well dones sent.
From Intua.net.
"Optional" usually indicates IAP in iOS-land, but in this case it just means another option.
Focus = good!
so you have a touchscreen mac damn your tight. If i could be like you
Yepp. In the 'Settings->Midi' and the 'Focus Action Editor' you can choose if your controller has 16 or 64 pads.
That's where you map your midi-controller to different areas of the app such as transport and macro-knobs...
I have a quite limited range of hardware I've tested with.
iRig Pads & Keys, Korg nanoKey Studio(BT) and Akai MPK Mini MkII.
For Audio, Line6 MobileIn, iRig Mic HD, Behringer UCA-202 and Røde SmartLav+
As far as I know only some of the sound-packs are IAP rest is 'included' or free downloads
Yellow card for persistent infringement.
Are there going to be any pre-made orchestral sampler instruments in BM3? Perhaps even... with velocity layers?
Track pad can do the same!
Calm down. There is place for both. IOS is great but not the holy grail.
oops forgot to ask, does the chord feature have a spread setting for adding realism to the chord play ?
then you sir are in the wrong forum
These first tutorial/demo videos got me so excited. My dream music app may come true in a few days... I really hope there will not be major last minute disappointment which will ruin the experience as it already happened to me in the past few months with several major music apps...
There are people running Mac OS with touch screens. I do. But I use the trackpad much more.
Pretty darned sure this will do it for you... I mean if it doesn't... then... not sure how to say this nicely.... hehe
What features are you looking for in bm3 EL G?
@Samu Please tell me it has audio input monitoring.....hee hee:)
Mmmm, would be cool if you could completely sync transport controls on two ipads over wifi/bluetooth.
Link?
As in ableton link ? It's present.

Huh, what's that?
Naturally it's there
I dream of a mix between Gadget (for the workflow, strong internal subs and stability), Blocs wave (for the time stretching / pitch shifting/ slicing facilities... Even if it really lack option to ease synchronisation of different loops) and Cubasis (for the ease of recording other apps on the iPad)... In fact, I think I mostly want a more modern and less buggy BM2, so it should be fine.
@AudioGus : I'm admit being a pain in the ass sometimes, but iOS music ecosystem clearly lack tools for Hip Hop and Sample based beats producers right now...
