A bit of a cliffhanger you gave us there! Any idea how long before we get the next episode? MIDI input and Loop actions is what I want ro learn. Please.
soon is all I can say - it takes awhile to get the pics together. Both are quite large sections if I did them fully, so might keep them simpler for a quickstart.
Is there a way to share the .qrk files here? I'd love to see an example or two from master MIDIers (ahem, @syrupcore).
+1
That will be nice..
Yes, yes, with extra yes...what's the scoop @midiSequencer ? Let us see others dancing in the moonlight that we might also so aspire etc.
This motion is seconded. Permit us to sally forth brandishing thy wisdom so that we, your mighty brethren, may bask in the glory that is your MIDI knowledge!
Huzzah, sir. HUZZAH!
I'd intended to get a web-page sorted for this sort of thing - user banks & videos, but didn't get around to.
What's the best in-app solution or is external hosting the only way?
I'm eager to hear what ppl are doing with the app! I've another song/video recording in the pipeline (once my day job stops being demanding!).
I see people doing Dropbox linking here..
I’d really love the possibility of having Quantum follow chord progressions and add its magic to them. This is for me the only way I will be able to drive it in a way that will allow me to use it in my Songs. Of course that’s just me, since I’m using Step Poly Arp and Navichord and are working great. But I wanna add Quantum to the mix and have it do what SPA doesn’t. This is my biggest request even more than the graphics update.
Let me start with this one - it's the 3 zeeon demo I did - you could of course use any 3 synths you want...

Haven't found a way to save AUM presets using airplay yet - anyone know? Can't believe Jonatan missed it out?
You mean Air drop? Yes it’s possi I do it all the time. Just long press on a preset so it doesn’t just load then you’ll get the share menu. Then that’s where you select Air drop
hope that’s what you meant.
by follow you mean harmonise or just strum/arpeggiate?
I'm interested in writing an auto-harmoniser option into Quantum, but I lack skills in any form of music other than Bach Chorales & counterpoint. Might need some help with some less ancient!
The strum/arpeggiate works now - use echo or add chords with strum & play you chosen selected step using midi in (or a sequence).
Your comments on SPA/Navichord sound like AB3 filter (middle position of the input/filter/output chain)? I can open up Quantum to process midi in in this way to 'decorate' midi in better.
yep thats it - thx - I can share my aum/ab3 sessions as well then.
It took a lot of coaxing but I was able to "Open In" from DB and it works. Thank you!
Now, I'm off to figure out how to post something in DB. Wish me luck...
Yeah that’s how I would use it in AB3 so Navichord can send chord progressions through Quantum and let Quantum do it’s magic
don't forget to share the link here!
I don't own Navichord just yet so will look into how it distributes midi in AB3 when I do.
I can easily put Quantum in the filter section - just need to make sure I'm covering proper input->process->output.
@Navichord can you help? Great Devs here! Wow so awesome!

This is a FANTASTIC idea!! I would love to have this setting too!!!
I haven't actually tried it yet but shouldn't AB State Saving work for saving and sharing?
Yes this is huge as explained. Thanks!
I think AUM has this - as well as midi MMC. I've got the MMC bit, so easy enough to have midi note on/offs state/stop the sequencer. I'd suggest a mapping (a hybrid of Learn & chord keyboard panels) to allow you to map any key to any sequencer &/or part.
Many controllers with pads allow midi notes to be sent.
I will definitely do that! Quick question: is there a way to set up a follow action to start/stop sequences? I can see how to start/stop parts, but I want to start sequence 1, loop 4 times, start sequence 2, loop 2 times, then stop sequence 2, start sequence 3, loop 4 times, etc. Possible?
I've just checked - it used to be in there for AB2, but I've marked the app as hidden in my AB configuration.
As I'm going to allow Quantum to be a filter, will re-enable it in the audio section too.
Doesn't seem to work for me - looks like there is a bug or two here. Will fix that so expect a patch soon.
I tend to use link or > or < to chain sequences, so this got missed.
Ok good to know. Possible to add a sequence to play with an already playing sequence?
Dreaming a bit... New sequence type: sequence trigger. Instead of notes, the sliders select a sequence/part. Hit start on that and it will play the sequences, in order. Clock be damned.
Could extend "chord mode" so that you can set any step to play more than one sequence.
Use another slider type that wouldn't make sense for this (gate?) as a Transposer.
Edit the step to use repeats (get the most out of 64 'steps').
Play direction to bring the random.
With parts on the sequence sequencer rack, you could set them up as 4 multi-sequence "song sections" (intro, verse, bridge, chorus) or, if played simultaneously they'd work more like busses on a mixer (bass, melody...).
Sync would probably make the whole thing absurdly difficult but in my mind anyway, sounds like a fun way to manually string stuff together!
