I have Xequence ...., I haven’t learned it yet. Same w Modstep. Now this. Which one should I learn. Can Quantum do anything that Modstep can’t do? Or Xequence?
Quantum is cool because of per step probabilities which help to reduce repetitiveness of your sequences. Happy accidents will occur. You can record midi into modstep I would presume. Not sure about xequencer cause I don’t see the need for it since I use modstep and BeatMaker3.

Can I record samples into Quantum a la Modstep? I’m guessing nyet.
No. It’s just a midi sequencer with a lot cool per step probability, cc and Midi fx controls.
I just WISH this app had delay events (early & late) like Xequence.. (+or- 200 milliseconds)

Yes you can set an action to load different versions of sequences or play different parts so it looks like you can in unconventional ways at least, only scratched the surface here myself though.
Double click to the right of the word "Mode" under the play button (lower left corner) where it might say All. This gives you all of the Song mode choices one of which is Link-play in order from selected. Or you can most likely create a script in Follow actions which tells each sequence when to play.
This app is un-freaking-believable. Just amazing.
