I don't know how to link a particular post, also it's a closed group and you have to join, but here's the FB link.

@Crabman I just found the link. It was a call to support @j_liljedahl. It may have been a bit premature, caused partially in part (I would imagine), due to my torch and pitchfork mentality..... :-(
@mgmg4871 Thanks! :-)
.
Hey guys, I don't understand this hate to Retronyms, this guy are working Hard past two mouth for make an app totally for free, only for iOS music artist that want continue to use this features on iOS 7.... Like me, and WE are make a negative compagne only because they put some advertising on this app.....I don't aggre...
The facebook thread doesn't contain anything specific not covered in this thread, so no worries!
@Crabman: Well, that's exactly it, regarding the café
@Simon Hahaha!!
@Sinapsya You have a point. I guess my dislike for Retronyms is the "closed system" mentality that their company prefers to take toward products and the community in general. Including IAA was a positive move, I must agree. Also, it is frustrating to see apps like iMini and iMPC not get the attention that they truly deserve--although I must admit that the backing companies may have more to say about that than I like.
Overall, I guess it's the closed system attitude I don't like. It reminds me too much of Apple........and here I am using an iPad..........wow! Love/Hate relationships! Hahaha!
@Sinapsya Do you mean free app or free advertisement?
@j_liljedahl - I must admit when I very first heard the announcement for AUFX:Dub I had a similar emotional response about Echo Pad, but I quickly realized within a few minutes by reading your statements that you did not have any shitty intentions, and the apps were different from each other and both awesome. Hopefully that's the case with ACP 2.0 and Retronyms.
@HoldernessMedia ...we'll see... The track record speaks for itself however, and Retronyms track record has been less than community friendly (as far as other developers are concerned). We'll see........
By the way, @HoldernessMedia I love and own your app too!!! :-)
It seems that it puts the last app used/tapped in their ACP app goes to the top of the list
@mgmg4871 Free App...
@Audiojunkie I don't like their no-AB implementation too... But their prefer to Work on IAA, go in this direction....if they make the best IAA host I'm happy, but for now The best IAA implementation is From Beatmaker2 (since Auria solve his problem)...
@Audiojunkie - Agreed, we'll have to see I guess.
@Simon lol. I had my flame thrower out too. The guys over at IOS Musician FB are mentioning Audioshare in ACP review as the real file browser for IOS Musicians.
"The best IAA implementation is From Beatmaker2 (since Auria solve his problem)"'/Sinapsya
What problem? (Just curious, since all things you've mentioned before are IAA native problems, system wide, not app specific).
I'm still pissed about it. I was pissed when it was announced. I'm sorry @j_liljedahl. I'm glad you can find a decent place with all of this but I'm sticking with 'dick move' on their part - in more ways than one. They were actually a part of the original Sonoma ACP creation so I get them taking it over but otherwise... wtf?
I commented as such on Discchord when they announced it. http://discchord.com/blog/2013/9/6/audiocopy-20-official-announcement.html#item20370844 (I'm Will). That was the tempered version. I rewrote it a couple of times (and still managed to spell "its" incorrectly, natch). As mentioned there, I agree with you that for AudioShare to compete for the ACP market it would have to go Freemium.
Ultimately, selfishly, I'd just prefer Kymatica be in charge of one of the most critical music workflows on iOS. That said, I'd also rather Kymatica make more rad aufx apps than deal with ACP, greedy little bastard that I am!
I like The Steve Jobs's 'close system is better' philosophy ;-)
Yeah,i grant BM2 a couple of days the Top position regarding iAA (probably:we are still waiting for the proof).But it shouldn't last that long now until steinberg releases the Kingbasis IAA update :-D
He says on the Audiobus forum. ?-)
@ChrisG Auria is my First DAW, and unfortunally after IAA update take me some problem
Kymatica is only one person though. It's a pretty huge responsibility taking on "a standard", and would probably require a few backup dudes to steer the ship if needed
.
@Sinapsya I know. Was just curious since I haven't had any problems I wasn't already expecting (with how IAA works at the moment). I'll be getting the same problems in Beatmaker 2 .
@chrisG Fair point but judging by their respective track records on fixing issues/responding to user needs I'd definitely put my money on @j_liljedahl.
It's not only a question of total available development time, it's a question of issue prioritization. I don't know Jonatan at all but I get the feeling he'd be more likely to prioritize an ACP issue than Retronyms would.
But iMini and iMPC is all Arturia and Akai, they call the shots since they pay the dollaros to Retronyms.
Edit: I'm just taking for granted that's how it works between the various companies given the brand names and all...
Apple kinda "borrowed" some ideas from Audiobus and did IAA to get rid of 3rd party apps having to deal with communicating and recording audio/data. I think they'll eventually do the same with ACP, put a proper iOS standard in place to get rid of having to deal with 3rd party apps. Hopefully they'll do a better work on v1 then they've done with IAA so far..
@ChrisG I don't like The fact that in Auria now I have some problem unbound of IAA like loop/audio import crash....
I have the impression that hurry to implement IAA have neglected the rest....and I do not like this game ...... better to do things slowly but good
@Sinapsya Mmkay. So it isn't related to IAA then. Or BM2. The audio import is an Auria/iOS7 specific bug I believe, that I'm sure will be fixed in the next version!
Jeremy over at IOS musician FB says Jonatan should challenge Retronyms by developing a new version of ACP with open source. What do you think?
@ChrisG I know...
but why such a hurry to get there first if we do not do things properly .... Audiobus It took a year and a half to get out but then it was perfect
