  • One that had passed me by (how did that happen! I always add them to my watch list on ebay, then I watch as someone else buys them! :-) ) - ...

An Andromeda A6. Of course!!! Wouldn't that be nice on an iPad?

  • OK. I just asked Alesis if they were interested in doing a port. Hey - doesn't hurt to ask ;-)

  • Clavia nord lead - moog modular - prophet 5 - hummm dw8000

  • a. polyphonic pitch shifter
    b. a cool distortion\overdrive\fuzz app that does sound good with guitar and bass
    c. reverse in AUFX: Dub
    d. shimmer in AUFX: Space
    e. tape and\or wow n flutter emulation app or Auria plug in

f: a modulation app of AUFX seires.

seriusly, I think AUFX dub is one of the best delay I ever played, In some features and sound quality it beats my old timeline and my deluxe memory man.

  • Nothing.
I have more than enough that i could hope to master in this lifetime.

  • I am looking forward to Mosaik personally, if it works as it's being advertised I'll be all over that.

  • @goldfish You're welcome! :-) By the way, it is patch compatible with the Crystal VST. :-)

There isn't much money in it compared to their normal activities.

Perhaps... but it seems to me to be the obvious area to get into for them, if for nothing else than a promotional gimmick.

  • Logic's Sculpture, or a synth like it, that simulate vibrating strings and exciters, kinda like impaktor, but simulating strings, and with midi
And I loved the suggestion about vintage compressors, but a AUFX compressor would be just as great!

Do you have iSEM? The OB8 was pretty much 8 SEM modules in 1 unit and iSEM has an 8 voice mode.

It's also possible to get close to various string machine sounds using some of the iOS synths that are available already.

  • Neil Peart's drum kit.

  • I would love to see something with the functionality of iZotope’s Phatmatic Pro (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/phatmatik/) coupled to some sort of internal sequencer and few basic effects.

I'm hoping that that is what Mosaik will turn out to be.

  • @Audiojunkie Thanks Im gonna check it out!

  • Bozio's drum kit...

    Agreed again!

  • Was reviewing this topic and wondering: Of the apps that do exist, what's the best one to come close to the sounds of the DSI Prophet?

Twisted Wave are working on one, but it''s not ready yet.

EDIT: Sorry folks, of course I meant Twisted Electrons. :)

Sorry for the late reply to this, but the "programmer mode" on iSEM doesn't allow 8 simultaneous voices. It's like a modulation sequencer for several parameters, but it doesn't duplicate any iSEM voices.

I'd personally like to see an EQ modeler like Voxengo on iOS.

  • The AKAI S-2000 sampler please!

    iLive from Ableton

    iReason incl REX File import!

and both, Projects can be easely import/export to the Big Ones....

QuasiMidi Ravelution 309 Full expended (use input to gate it with) but in a useable playable iGUI....

    and
    Nanostudio 2!!!
    kaossilator2...

  • I would kill to have Audio Damage's Tattoo vsti on iOS.

But it does have a poly mode- switch is in the hidden panel where you set the scale and key

  • True, not quite the same as an 8-voice, though (can't tune each voice differently on the iSEM).

  • paulB, no further news on that Twisted Wave implementation? I googled and didn't find anything. Thanks for the tip, though. A pseudo-Prophet on the iPad will be exquisite.

No news from Twisted Wave (sorry - Twisted Electrons) at the moment, I saw a recent photo of the dev preparing his yacht, so don't hold your breath.

@Calcutta Yeah, it was the iSEM Poly mode I was on about. You may not be able to program each voice separately, but there's always multi tracking...

Yea I think this is what's missing from my current workflow.

If Samplr or Sector got midi 'in' updates I would re download immediately and be sorted.....

Not sure if they have planned updates though?

  • I'd kill for an universal app emulating the OBXa.

  • I would love twisted tools s-layer and ultraloop... I own both on PC but would live them on iPad with AB and Audioshare/copy
