    Neil Peart's drum kit.

    I'd prefer Stewart Copeland's left hand. :)

And yeah, a prophet of any type would be heavenly. Heh, didn't even mean that one (but have to leave it now).

A multi in/out multi effects unit like an Alesis Quadraverb.

Any of Eventide's expensive 80s units.

  • A utility or sampler that can "hijack" the iPad's system audio. IAA and Audiobus are great, but there's a ton of sound sources that could be incorporated into productions (such as video), but cannot be internally recorded as of yet.

The market as a whole needs more professional interfacing options. iConnectivity are doing the most in this regard, but with the long delays (and it sounds like there are some issues with their current products) and audio passthru only to a computer it doesn't quite cover my needs (the iCA will be better, but who knows when it will drop). I thought by now the market would be flooded with devices that would give you balanced stereo audio/midi/power, but there seem to be a lot of half-measures (RCA or mono, lack of actual midi ports, etc. etc.). If Novation were to update the X-Station to provide power to iOS, it would be ideal.
