As you know, in Legato mode, if we keep a note (C for instance) depressed and press another key (say D), the Attack phase of D should be skipped. It doesn't skip Attack for some presets like Best B3 mentioned above. However, on presets where Legato doesn't work, the Glide knob seems to render some portamento. So, apparently, it is just Legato that doesn't work on some presets.

Hey @MobileMusic, I just tested that preset (Best B3) and legato seems work? Are you using an old build of D1?
Thanks! Here's a quick video of my test:

  • ‘Best B3’ is legato-ing as expected here as well.

And, we're working on AudioKit 5. Which will allow indie developers to make AUv3 apps easier. 🎉

    Very very cool!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Now you can use the top left/right arrows to go through Favorites, categories like Keys / EP, etc.
Before, if you used left/right arrows, it would force the user to go through the presets as they are ordered in their banks.

    For example:
Previously, if you were on preset #20 ("Harmonium Vintage" in this screenshot) and hit the right arrow, it would go to preset #21 in that bank. Now, it will go to the next preset listed on the screen ("Digital Piano One")

Aaah ok, I was expecting secondary arrows for categories/banks.

It will accept Bank Change now. So, you can use a MIDI controller or DAW to step through Banks.

  • Oh it isn't important, was just trying to test new features for issues, touch browse is good enough for me.

What new LFO destinations would you like to see in D1?

  • Any change of an extra envelope for pitch, so we can add punch to the start of sounds and make risers etc

A random S&H type LFO output would be nice.

  • No issues or requests, etc. just wanted to say... such a sweet sounding synth. Impressed every time I mess around with it. :)

Yes, sir. That will be fixed in the latest fix that Apple is sitting on... thanks for your patience!

I think it is great we can modulate one lfo with another, that is cool. Other useful lfo destinations - the per voice filter cutoff (so that the lfos are not synced between voices if possible), stereo delay time. It might be asking too much but key track and an extra modulation envelope would be useful other mod sources, but I realise there are limits to what you can include 😁

  • @MobileMusic : Legato, if I understand correctly, only applies in mono mode in D1. It looks like you aren’t in mono mode. If you switch to mono, I think you will find that it works as in analog_matt’s video.

Yes, the header of the Legato section threw me off and I was assuming it would switch to mono in legato but the mono switch is right above the keyboard which I just noticed as switched off. Thanks

That's a good point that it might be kind of confusing. I'm planning on making a long tutorial video for D1. I suspect you're not the only one that thought that.

  • Just came across the British band Buck Fizz early 80s and there it was the D1 in all its wonderful glory ,thanks for this and of course all the other patches but this one tickled me. greenie
