Yes indeed, I like that line of thought aggrobube! Sweet!

I hope this is the missing sampler. Considering Bristol is known for old school jungle/dnb, hopefully it'll allow for sample slicing.
This IS fun. I didn't have my keyboard around for this one, but hopefully that would help things come out a little more organic. Still the sequencer is top notch.

Did you find a way to add samples? This is what I am really, really missing, in addition to midi export.
I thought Bristol was known for Trip Hop.

That too. And that still would still suggest a sampler.

There is not a sampler as of yet. Yes I was thinking today how nice midi input and export would be also... I would like to see a GM module as well for midi input. I wonder how complete they plan on making this beast? I suck at drum programing but I have a whole bunch of drum midis to input if I ever get the chance..

Nope. All of the bigger files are in a binary format. In my eyes this is where the line is between a toy and a creative tool. Adding own samples will open it up to much more personalization and character. I don't want to be overly optimistic but the Pandora's box is open and Korg developers are probably as excited as we are about the future of this thing.

@supadom, where did you see it say Bristol? I don't see that here: http://forum.audiob.us/uploads/FileUpload/8e/bebff0241bc0e64c249fc7adb8ff46.jpg

Yeah, it's there. Somewhere in the library. There were image files of knobs, LED on, LED off etc.
I have found something which I thought I'd share as I don't remember seeing it before. It is possible to make recordings which span multiple Scenes. Simply go into the track / part you want to record and make sure that Loop is turned off, as you would when playing the whole song. You can then record over the whole song, with recorded notes allocated to each Scene accordingly. That is going to be extremely useful to the way I record.
This is kind of obvious but I haven't tried it before. Nice one!

To be honest, I didn't expect it to work as it is very loop based, this opens up more freeform recording and gets around the 8 bar limit quite nicely.
Yeah man, tell me about it. Let me know if you find a work around 8/4 signature limit. Don't understand why they limit these things anyway. It's just a bloody computer program, let it roll.

Are you from Bristol? Just curious.

Nope, but I hope that it really is an included gadget coming in an update and that it is a sampler.
Is there a way to collapse a gadget's automation edit window and go straight back into its sequencer window? From what I can tell the only way to close it is to hit back out to the mixer.
Just tap the screen slightly above the automation area nearer to the sequencer and it should collapse back to show your sequence.
Perfect! Thanks, T.
I've settled for leaving my ipad in landscape orientation, with Gadget. After some time, I've actually adapted to it quite well. A little diffuculty reading help files. Lol. The way the scenes are setup it actually works. I don't really use the internal keyboards anyway. Even if I used the keyboard, I wouldn't be trying to play chords. I just hate portrait mode.
I thought that I was going to hate portrait mode too but given the way this app works I have found it to surprisingly easy.
Ok, that didn't last long. It worked until I had to change parameters on the gadgets. I'll chalked that up as a dumb idea. Lol. Wish I could delete this before Paul shows up.
Lol
.
Lol. I wouldn't deny Paul of this open door.
I'd be running for the closet Morris! ;-)
Lol. You can run, but you can't hide from Paul.
The biggest downside of portrait mode for me is a really skinny keyboard. Hard to get 2 octaves in without it turning into a keyboard for ants
I must be feeling mellow. Life's a learning experience.
So I have a question for Gadget owners . . . is this app capable of producing sounds currently unavailable through any other app?
