Any idea of how long? Just curious...

  • Quick question: can you save as...? I was thinking of saving a copy of a given patch in order to tweak it or even saving templates as starting points?

Not at this time. You need to create a copy before opening the patch as everything is saved real-time as it is now. The developer has said that he plans to address this at some point.

    Ok, thank you 🙏
This is what I ended up doing but only after I messed a couple of built in patches 🥴

    Wow

  • sweeeeet

  • Oh mi (rack) :DD

  • Oh cool! But parameter automation is wonderfully implemented in Cubasis 3 and beatmaker 3. never use it in NS.

Agreed, NS2 AU parameter handling is funky and limited. Much better in BM3.

  • Excited for this.

  • is there no longer a bogaudio vcf!???
not seeing many vcf options, felt like there was more

we need more VCFs!! Very few options in miRack.. and yes, each One sound different that why we need TONS of them!!

Wow, I’m eagerly waiting for the new update. Luv mirack, keep up the fantastic work. Can we expect multiple outputs in AUM?, maybe by multi bus instances. That would be a dream, being able to output patches through my es-9 to modular.
Only thing that would be missing would be a tuner for external oscillators, like silent way tuner.
I’m daydreaming and thinking out loud.

VCFs make the sound. If we get multi-out or AU, then we use all the awesome filters that have come out as AU in last year. I wish ES9 was available anywhere near me. :(

man multi out / au 🙋🏼‍♂️
but ya mirack is amazing but the lack of filters really holds back my sound... literally 🤣 i need that lowpasssssss

  • can you not patch like this in mirack? see the red cable...mirack won’t allow me to make the connection, i was following along to this patch a guy is making on his modular... but then had to stop...

  • @reasOne The ‚banana’ plug cables on a real modular system can be plugged into any other banana connector. In this image, the upper 2 red wires connect module inputs, but there is still only one module output beeing used - the one in the lower left.

In the software version, one is not allowed to connect input modules, wires are only allowed from outputs to inputs.

You can achieve the same routing using the following connections:

BTW: There video snapshot seems to use a newer version of Stages, as there are some mode toggle buttons below the shape / time inscription.

doh! thanks for the info...i wish they would allow us to make the connections like in a real modular system as a toggle on/off option. appreciate the reply as i’m just a few weeks into my modular explorations

No it isn't, they are both as crippled as each other.

    BM3
No parameter scaling, so the vast majority of AU plugins have their automation parameters entire sweep in less than 5% of the visible area of the lane, unsuable.
Graphical glitches including automation disappearing for no apparent reason, or indeed disappearing because you accidentally touched a dial or the gain slider.
The near unfathomable editing, a step draw tool that can't actually draw steps, a line draw tool that barely works, a selection tool that snaps points in and out of the screen if too many are selected, which removes the automation entirely.
No real connect or copying between track based automation and pattern based automation, and no automation item support.
The list is continuous and all confirmed and reported and unfixed for a very long time.
Tiny area vertically for carrying out drawing/editing.

    NS2
    Maximum 8 parameters, complete nonsense.
No automation at all for effects, complete nonsense.

The crap balances out simply because NS2 pure lack of availability, it has better drawing and editing, but BM3 has much better recording (If the parameter scales)

There is no such thing as good automation on iOS.

  • Is polyphony support planned for miRack? I’m building a series of synths and I cannot wait for using them as AUv3 instruments in AUM!
