Look forward to playing with this
now, me neither, so forget it .... it was strange glitch, now it works perfectly no matter how hard i try to break it
This update is amazing!!!!! Thank you!!!
I really really enjoyed patching on the iPad but when the patches broke on import to Mac I kinda left alone for a bit because I didn’t want to use this in its own silo. This update is a workflow GAMECHANGER for me. Thank you so much for doing it!
i think beta versions are only good for 90 days. but no biggie i’ll back em up...i saved most of them inside the plugin with in aum but i think i can back those up somehow.. thanks for the heads up
dope!!
Can someone provide a recap for those of us who only watched Season One of "Stargate: MiRack"? This is AU now? Or will be imminently?
@mifki Is it possible to make Mac app compatible with Mojave?
@mifki - Are there plans to bring in more modules?
I would love to see more filters Stairway is perfect, but you know.. there is never enough filters :-D :-D :-D
anyone know how to back up presets saved within AUM/mirack auv3 ?
sounds like they may go away with the app store version from beta
Yeah, I've not upgraded my Mac either.
You can just save patches to disk from within miRack AUv3 I guess?
Yes, after AUv3 it'll be time for some new modules.
No, sorry, it uses this new technology for building iPad apps for Mac which requires 10.15.
wow ya, i think mirack is the only auv3 that lets me do this... right to files. i didn’t even try because every other app tells it can’t be done 🤨
just another great thing about mirack either way i only have a few saved and wouldn’t bea big feel but dang it work’s ! excellent
installing macos now
Just tried the mac version and it is really great. Compared to VCV it seems also as good optimized as the iOS version.
So i MUCH prefer miRack over VCV. I would pay for a AU version to run inside Logic. Please consider it.
Thank´s so much for this. Great work!
Oh man I second this. If you had an AU as well
then you have complete workflow integration and I wouldn’t need the Rack VST when it comes out. To be able to go from iPad to Mac is amazing... to be able to go from iPad to daw omfg!!!!!!!!
A MacOS Version just dropped. iOS has not.
Hi!
i'm new to AUM also, I have been working on a large project (12 miRack patches, saved inside aum , then saved as aum presets. I also found the presets within Files and have been backing them up)
I too am hoping that a new miRack version will, after being reinserted to the AUM project, be OK with the patches/presets I have stored within the project!
If anyone knows what I am talking about and thinks this will be ok let me know
best
Mark
The new AUv3 update for miRack is coming out this week. At the moment it's still IAA.
Just hang tight for a few more days.
hey, so if you saved them as “ save in aum” or from the plus sign within mirack, you can click on the 4 squares in the corner and save it to your files to use as backup should the app store version not load them from within the app
Yeah I have done that, but I have a kind of playlist that our app plays through 12 "presets" (the ones you can assign a patch change or CC to) I am hoping that will still work!
cheers
it will be soon.
Thank you.
So I had to do this:
Up until now we knew that miRack must have been heavily optimized in order for it to run on iOS, but seeing it side-by-side with VCV Rack is just incredible. Both are using the same interface, buffer size (512), and VCV was set to 30 fps and "8 (most modules)" setting in the threads selector, without real-time priority.
Scrolling is working perfectly here. You don't maybe have a "natural scrolling" turned off or something?
[edit ... nvm. shoulda caught up with the thread before replying]
Also module browser is significantly better in miRack than in VCV :-)
Will IAA remain on next update ?
Not to take anything away from this incredible achievement... I'm totally sold and huge fan of miRack...
But at this point I'd like to hear an assessment from vcv rack developer or @mifki what they think is the reason for such difference. Like I said, I'm a fan, I just don't believe in miRackls... you can cut corners but sooner or later it will bite you in the back. Be it audio or other internal shortcuts.
What would be the point for 3rd party developers to release stuff for vcv instead of miRack?
I hope no one gets offended, I'm genuinely curious.
How many threads you have active in VCV?
