I don’t see the FAC bundle in the App Store US...

Not in the UK either, shame as I have most of their apps.

It is probably a part of the pricing strategy from the developer. I noticed the same with 4pockets. As they introduced the slightly reduced prices on Digistix and MultitrackRecorder they also removed the bundle that contained both. The same with the FAC apps.

Yeah thought that might be the case.

  • BandDelay is on sale today (€7.99 down to €5.49 here in the Eurosphere):
    https://apps.apple.com/pt/app/banddelay/id1482011637

It looks like Virsyn have put the rest of their prices back up, though.

Xequence 2 has always been tempting just because the dev is so active here and so many folks are fans, but it's not really clear to me what it would give me that I can't get already by sequencing external apps/hardware in NS2.

For me, X2s killer feature is the multi-take recordings.

The ability to get a basic groove going, and then just jam over the top is brilliant.
It was the missing piece of the puzzle for me.

    That is great.

For me time-stretching midi is huge.

    Nice.

  • Acoustic 1&2 + hip hop 1&2 = 9.20€ (instead of 31.96€) ☺️
the last shot of the tail of the black-cyber weekend. 🤟

  • Picked up the Acoustic Pack 1 as well. Let‘s see how it is, maybe I’ll get #2 as well.

Still debating about miRack, just to have a comfy modular environment on the go. I don’t really need it... but nice to have it would be.

I was scared at first by miRack, but now I’m starting to figure it out, just a couple of days of headache, and... fun! I don’t know if it’s still on sale, anyway it worths the full price indeed.
Great, great modular synth. Maybe it’s the app of the year!

  • Can anyone speak to the quality of samples for the NS2 Acoustic 1 + 2? Looking for good acoustic guitars and strings

    I got acoustic 1.
    It’s great.
Good guitars, pianos, strings and other orchestral instruments.

Going through them now. There are more strings than I expected in both packs, which is welcome. Some of the sounds are a bit crappy (I'm looking at you, EPs) but I think it's a great offer overall and won't eat through phone battery/resources like loading up on AUs will do. Will probably use this stuff more as a placeholder and maybe try a few out as start points, since every sound is tweakable with all that Obsidian has to offer. Sometimes I want a woody clarinet pad in there and this way I don't need to find samples, map samples etc. Good value I reckon.

I thought the same, but I must admit that a lot presets are awesome, and have them right in the box is simply great.

    Nice tip :)

Have been using a resampled Neo-Soul Keys patch as the go to, but I love an EP. Will get myself over there before long.

    Thank you!

I have both Xequence 2 and NS2. The great advantage of X2 is when you want to work with synths and audio in AUM and/or Audiobus and have the Midi sequencers sync with apps in AUM and AB - including start/stop.

When I read this I was thinking "wait...what...that is impossible, no?"

You must load X2 into a Midi source and AUM in an audio destination of Audiobus. Then you can load other apps/plugins into AUM and Audiobus and everything will run in sync including X2.

So then I had to try this. Son of a...it works!
This is the best tip of the week for me!

I was unable to achieve that with NS2 as it seems not to use start/stop.

That is strange though, because that was the next thing I tried, and it seemed to work too. I basically loaded NS2 as an audio source in AB3 and pointing it to AUM as a target. They now all start together, and I can load apps anywhere in any of the hosts available to me.

As an added bonus it (either combo above) can be controlled via Audiobus Remote from my iPhone6S+, which I use for music only and which already lies on my midi keyboard.

But anyways: tip of the week for me. Forgot to say thanks though. I had given up on getting X2 (or NS2) to sync with AUM/AB. Now it is "on" again. :)

  • I’ve always wondered how that works!

Great tip and thank you ☺️

it’s something the appstore is doing these days , when an app goes down below the bundle discount the bundle disappears.. certain 4pockets ones are back now and i guess so will the Fac one once the offending app goes back up in price... though nothing in the appstore ever seems consistent!

These are really great. I had a lot of fun playing with them.

  • Bundles are weird. I just looked at one bundle and it was more than the cost of the app that I didn't own. Looked at the same bundle on my phone and it had a healthy discount on the remaining app. So I bought it on my phone...

That gives me some hope. I have to try again. I think I loaded NS2 in AUM and not in AB as I wanted to use it’s audio. X2 could only be added to AB Midi.

That’s so good to know that I could help. It’s just great to have this forum to exchange. I can’t wait to make NS2 sync - that will be my tip of the week :)

It’s probably cheaper to buy it now, but I’ll fanny around thinking about it until the price goes back up.

Thinking about Flux too, despite the bugs in their MT.
