We are working on AUv3 compatibility. If you’re on an iPad, for now you could use split screen and get almost the same result. Hope this helps!
L7 as a source isn’t supported because the app requires audio input to function. In Audiobus you should put it in the receiver slot, and in AUM you should put it an effects slot. Let me know if this works for you.
Great for countdowns if nothing else !
Yes, I did ... )
Ok, thanks for your response - and yes, will sent you a video later this evening -
Yes, I do have link enabled in my setup.
Hence finding the link bug that I mentioned earlier.
Try doing this.
I figured this out with Quantiloop.
Run L7 first then open up AUM, put L7 into effects slot as per
then close down the main L7 and then open it back up again in AUM.
There is something going on with buffer settings and audio apps.
If I don't open up the programs in a particular way I get massive crackles etc.
I now have particular shortcuts for the setups
that I need to use as well as sessions in AUM
@danielfromcodalabs
Is there any possibility of adding 12 in the max loop section?
@Bon_Tempi
Do you know if I can share AUM sessions?
If so I'll send you my current working template for L7
if not I'll write out for you.
That would be great and I would love to try it - and yes, I think it’s possible to share/sent AUM sessions - I guess I have seen it already here on the forum - I am just not an expert enough to know how exactly ...
I’m actually trying to figure out a way to do any max loop length (even odd numbers). Still conceptualizing how to have this make sense in the UI and not be too cumbersome. If you have any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear them.
@rs2000
Do you know how to share AUM presets via the forum???
I only know the hack to zip it and rename it to a photo format like I did here.
Then download it using e.g. Readdle Documents and rename it back to zip.
Ok... I'm still getting some bpm weirdness even after the update, but it's definitely improved. The weirdness being that after a couple of loops, for some reason the bpm changes to a dash "—" until I manually set the bpm again. This is when loaded in AUM.
Here's another thing I'm not getting how to set up:
Let's say I've got L7 in the fx slot of AUM and and synth in the source slot. If I want to record playing live into a loop I have to first leave the AUM screen and go to the L7 screen... hit the sample button to start the countdown... then rush back to the AUM screen to play what I'm trying to loop. If I hit A, then I have to rush back to the L7 screen to tap on the sample to stop recording.
Is there no way to activate recording and stop recording in L7 directly from the AUM screen so that I don't have to jump back and forth?
I can do it if i load L7 into AB3 then route that into AUM so that I get the AB controller tab... but is there any way I can do this without having to string together two apps? ie. trigger L7 record/play/stop from the AUM screen?
@skiphunt Midi learn and a controller via midi bindings I would of thought would be the only way as AUM doesn’t have the controller tabs like AB3. Being IAA that’s always going to be the problem till the AU version appears.
You need to use AB3 which has the bonus of state-saving. If you save the AB3 setup, the AUM setup is saved in the AB3 setup
Okay good to know.
I'm going to try and share some of my sessions for AUM.
I'll test this as soon as I can.
Have one extra ,'button', which is labelled user or custom
keeping the same design for the other numbers.
There's more than enough space in the bottom left hand.
If it's centered then it wouldn't look too displeasing to the eye.
Another way would be to have another box in the same area and
have arrows top and bottom but that wouldn't be as visually pleasing.
Or simply have an empty box and state in the manual that the
box is for odd even numbers for those who like to type it in ahead.
Sometimes I'm not to sure how many measures I'm going to play
as I can vary the length of the chord progressions.
I like to keep things fluid.
@danielfromcodalabs
Oh a third occurred to me,
Two arrows and an empty box.
That way you can input the value or
step it up or down like you would do with tempo.
Edit
Two arrows pointing up and down
and an empty box beside it for the numbers
as opposed to a box with the arrows top and bottom
which was in my original comment.
@Jumpercollins @espiegel123 the AB3 w/AUM isn't a bad one. For what I described it works pretty well actually. Once I get the loop stack that I want, I quit out and just reload the L7 app directly in AUM or apeMatrix.
I was basically just checking to see if I might be missing some setting or feature that allowed me to control it easier from within AUM only.
And, I've recently dusted off the nanoKey to update the firmware so I could just map it to that for some fun.
@Bon_Tempi
Here's my preset using @rs2000's file hack.
Download the file, open it up in AudioShare,
rename the extension to zip and then unzip.
Move preset from AudioShare to AUM preset section
using Files App.
@Bon_Tempi
I've tried two different methods.
I'll try again tomorrow if you can't access them.
Dear Gravitas - thanks for your effort - !
But unfortunately - I cant find a link for downloading - I just see two blank squares ... where I guess the links were supposed to be - does it look different on your side?
These are the ones!
Open Readdle Documents or any browser that can download images as files (not Safari) and tap-hold a square to download, then rename the file and open it.
@Bon_Tempi
Okay try this instead.
Simply change the extension back to zip and then unzip the file.
Edit.
I'm only getting a blank square here myself so
here's a Dropbox link to the preset.
Hopefully this will be sufficient instead

Yes, Thanks - Dropbox worked smoothely - will try the setup later this evening when I am back home and give feedback ...
Thanks for the Tipp - it worked as you described with example-AUM-project you posted yesterday - the Galileo-Rotary-setup - I was able to download, rename and open it - but the blank squares of Gravitas were still not downloadable - not even with Readdle - at least for me ) -
But the Dropbox workaround solved it ... anyway - thanks for Readdle Tipp - looks like a useful toll
Cool.
It works here.
Open the browser in Documents, tap and hold in the little blank square and choose "save image". @Gravitas has zipped the project so you first have to rename the file to end with .zip, then extract, then open in AUM.
As said from the developer replying to my comments on the same question:
"We are working on AUv3 compatibility. If you’re on an iPad, for now you could use split screen and get almost the same result. Hope this helps!"
Oh yeah! AUv3 Plugin!!! Awesome!!!
