Has anyone noticed synths not playing all of notes when triggered by xynthesizer? This happened to me with isem, sunrizer and magellan. Also sometimes notes hang as if there was no note off message. Internal synth playing ok when turned on though.
@supadom haven't noticed any missing notes but have had a few hangs. The panic button in the midi screen resolves it with one or two taps.
My friend uses music studio on an ipad 2 and since updating to ios 7 his songs are missing notes. I wonder if this is related to ios 7?? There seems to be a few apps that are missing notes....
It all seems to be working ok now without any intervention (afaik) on my part. Still it doesn't inspire my trust and knowing myself that whatever set up I've been trying to make work ends up collecting dust. I like it though that @YuriT is here to listen to our concerns. I'm under no illusion all of the issues will get ironed out immediately especially because it may not be this particular apps fault but at least I know someone is there to support. It is hard to get back to making music after using gadget in fact this is the obvious reason why gadget caused such a stir. Hopefully sometime around September we'll have our ab2 set ups clocking nicely together, probably on the next generation of ipad whatever the name will be.
@supadom, does it just skip notes randomly or they are always the same?
Always the same. Especially with 16th notes. When the note were more sparse it would not happen. Not sure if xynth was to blame but really hard to tell from my end. I'd also have a buggy midi page when akai mpk mini was plugged in. The page would not pull down completely and would keep bouncing to top as soon as released. That would stop happening as soon as akai was disconnected though. Weird.
@supadom, from my experience, Sunrizer doesn't handle high MIDI notes (above 88, 100, or 112, depending on its transposition setting). However, this seems not to be the case, because Magellan and iSEM are fine with this.
The MPK mini issue is really weird. I'll try to investigate that.

I'll take it for another spin when I have time.
@Phil999, @ShawnLeonhardt, @supadom, @syrupcore, after some testing with a MIDI keyboard, I've found the bug that caused UI slowness. It was actually MIDI-related and (unintentionally) resulted in the app continuously rescanning for external MIDI hardware, wasting lots of CPU time.
@supadom, I've also found the cause of BM2 sync issue. Going to fix this soon.
W00t. Congrats @YuriT
Awesome Dev.
great news. Really good update being able to send notes to several synth apps, and also to a hardware synth. At the same time, with real-time control over notes, 'life', speed, etc. And background MIDI in Xynthesizr.
I'm glad I waited with my iTunes review, now there is one for the latest version. Cheers @YuriT
@syrupcore, @mgmg4871, @Phil999, @supadom, thanks!
@supadom, maybe I didn't understand you, but the update is not live yet. If you want to try it out before release, you can join as a tester on TestFlight. Thanks for the review anyway!
@YuriT no worries man I'll wait until it's out. I don't get much screen time these days.
as for the review it was long overdue and of course you massively deserve it.
To all:
Just released the update (version 1.1.1) to the App Store
Thanks Yuri.
Nice one @YuriT now one more push! landscape mode pleeeease
@mgmg4871, @supadom, thanks!
Currently working on the iPad version (landscape). Most likely it will be a separate app with some features not present in the iPhone version.
Price reduction/upgrade for all of us who have supported this app and purchased all the options from day 1 @YuriT?
@thinds, still thinking about this. Free upgrade is technically impossible. The only kind of valid idea I have so far is to set a low introductory price for a week or two.
Do you know any examples of how other developers handle this kind of situation?
@YuriT said:
Just like that.
Don't think this is possible but if it were, it might be an interesting alternative for developers:

Well, I ain't rich but I'm happy to support the developer, especially if he's able to include a quick access midi button as at the moment it requires a lot of brain power to get to midi settings and back
glad to hear about an iPad version in landscape mode.
About the price: to be really honest, I think this app is more worth than one might think at first. Intro price is always welcome of course, but not necessary in my opinion. Xynthesizr has some unique features as a sequencer. Morph/life for evolving notes, and multiple MIDI channel output. This cannot be found in other sequencers as far as I know, and so easy to control. One can send notes to up to 16 synths or samplers, on the same iPad, on a computer, to hardware. And in 'standalone' it's also a good synthesiser with well thought out parameters. The only thing I don't like much is the name, he he. But that doesn't matter at all.
I would pay $10 without hesitation for the iPad version. Thesys is $15 by the way (to my knowledge without intro price). And Xynthesizr for iPhone was free when it first came out, I for example didn't pay anything and got a really powerful and special multi-sequencer which does things I cannot do with other means. Alright, with Lemur of course, but programming such a template would take me months.
Just want to jump in on the chorus here. Very happy to pay again for Xnthesizr. My idea was just that, a general idea about upgrade paths within the constraints of the app store's silliness (and I don't think it would work).
Especially when it goes landscape, the grid stays the same size AND YOU GET TWO SEPARATE GRIDS SIDE BY SIDE.
I agree completely with @Phill999.
No worries, I will go along with the general consensus then:-)
An intro price would be GREAT. I bought the phone version some time ago anticipating a universal update. I would not of bought it on iPhone otherwise as I rarely make music with it. I do appreciate your creation Yuri! I will leave feedback on the App Store soon.
@YuriT how long for the iPad version
Wow, guys, many thanks for your support!
@syrupcore, AFAIK, there's no reliable way to check if the app was previously installed.
And two separate 16x22 grids? What do you want to do with those?
@djjuniorpops, hopefully a month or two.
