Yeah like most of this app, it's not immediately obvious
....Importing in the standalone app from that icon made it show up in the preset bank list for me. Then it should show up in the AUv3
@david_2017 This is what you need to do:
to load a new bank, tap on the name of the currently loaded bank at the TOP RIGHT of the screen - in a new instance of Fundamental this will say Fundamental_factory. This opens a drop down menu with the built in banks as well as those it finds in the Fundamental\PresetBanks folder - these are xml files. Select a bank from there and NOW you're good to go!
Thanks for the help guys but.... I dont get more than these banks (but please tell me there is this Divkid thing already imported 🙈)

Oh boy. Funny thing for anyone else struggling with it.
You CANNOT import when the XML file is located in your iCloud Downloads.
These banks HAVE TO BE in the preset folder of fundamental in „on your ipad“. Then it will work to import in the standalone and then you can use it in the AU version. Check! Thanks for your help!
Exactly - the "on your iPad" area in the files app on your iPad will have a Fundamental folder added when you installed the app - inside that is a "PresetBanks" folder. If you put the xml files that contain the preset banks in that folder, they will appear in the list alongside the 4 built in ones...
By the way everyone, I want to mention that the title of this thread is really not accurate. It should really be titled SonicLab's Fundamental. Sinan the dev did almost all of the work on this and is not really being recognized properly. Could someone with permission to edit chs ge it please, because this thread is more than a month old, so I can't.
i have a little issue : when i load presets that i saved in aum ( fundamental ) the Hz is not correct. do you have the same problem ?
In my case, it just crashes the app. This is the screen I get but then the app won’t react to any input anymore.
At what stage in the process does this happen?
Hi Doug,
I’ve got an iPad Air 2 which also has a 9.7” screen and can fit the whole screen for the GUI minus the top portion in AUM as shown in the screen shot below. You can still move the Fundamental AU instance window around using the lower right corner. To close the Fundamental window you end up having to make it smaller and then move the window down so the close “x” icon is visible.

Clearly this is still a very poor GUI design and not practical at all but at least you can access the GUI controls this way in AUM. In other AUv3 host apps, the situation is much worse and not functional via the GUI. It’s a shame they’ve done 95-98% of the work yet basic AU GUI issues were ignored. Hopefully they’ll make adjustments so it’s useful and easier to use in a wide range of AU host apps.
Thank you Gavinski! I appreciate your work.
After I moved the xml files to the PresetBanks folder of Fundamental
Now it somehow worked. Thanks for unjinxing it.
More time spent now. Still feel like my time is better spent in Droneo. Gain, panning, and frequency modulation isn't that special, no matter how fancy the stochastic algorithms are. This is teetering on refund territory for me.
Pleasure....👍
Anyone got rozeta lfo working with this inside aum.
I can only get modulation working in ape matrix.
I had an exchange with Lowengard a while ago. He seemed quite interested in keeping Droneo on iOS but said that the code is really old.
Yeah, I can imagine, still IAA. I had hope at one point that those guys who did AUGen would release something similar, but they were never heard from again. Disillusioned they couldn't charge $20 for their (admittedly pretty good) noise generator, I guess.
Hi, I have it working fine in AUM with Art Kerns MIDILFO’s ,which are much more versatile that Bram’s, though I do love the Rozeta suite as a whole. Works really well for example sample and holding the fundamental sweep in harmonic mode, and you can sync the LFO and Fundamental to BPM if you want. I’m working on a track doing all this, hoping to post it to my Soundcloud in a day or so.
Yeah I'm noticing that saving as AUM preset doesn't save the scale too, do you know if this has been noted to the dev as a bug @Gavinski? if not will send him a mail....
Ah no, I never noticed that, yes please tell him. He's fixing things quickly. I've been having another play with this the past hour or so. I have to say, I really love this. It's so deep, really interesting when you understand it a bit and dig in
Well spotted. I'll shoot him a quick email now actually, won't take long @carnbot
cool thanks!
Yeah I saw your tutorial, was useful, a few things I hadn't got to yet. I've also spent a fair bit of time with it over the weekend apart from MPE which I haven't really attempted so far. I'm also really enjoying the depth of this, especially when hooked up via midi parameters to hardware knobs, then you can perform live sequences and is lots of fun.
Does it react to midi input? Only tried on desktop but could get it to respond to anything but C5 on/off.
Not that I can see. It will allow you to turn trig on and off with midi notes, but not to produce sounds. I have been unable to get any sounds from it other than by using an mpe keyboard, because it is actually using channel aftertouch to trigger the gain, not midi to trigger notes. At least that is how it seems to me so far.
I’ve had limited fun using a sequencer to trigger individual gain sliders, you have to map them one by one in aum though - there’s only eight so didn’t take long...
The mod section would be fun to map, but the problem is that some of the sliders change depending on the stochastic function selected
Still waiting for someone to tell me if they can do per note pitch bend on a Roli Seaboard, or any other device. To test this, make sure you do a long pitch bend so there is no chance of error. Of you could send me a vid or audio of that, would the even better. Sinan says this is working for him, but I still can't get it to work for me. I get pitch bends, but not per note. My dashboard settings are identical to his, just the standard Roli settings. There must be someone here who can help test this surely...
Is anyone having problems with moving the sliders in the mod section? I sometimes find that when a slider is at the top (for vertical) or right (for horizontal) it is hard to grab. No problem with the main osc and mod depth sliders only the small sliders in the mod section at the bottom.
Would appreciate if some ppl test this and report back. Sometimes they grab no problem, other times I have to try a few times. So you need to test this over a period of time to see if it is consistent or not. Thnx
It's the same on the desktop version - I find I have to tap at a point above or below the slider to make it move, then I can grab it and slide it...On an iPad, some kind of stylus is really useful!
Above or below... OK, will try Nige, thnx
