That’s brilliant, perfect, thank you.
For those who hesitate, I’ve found Touchable Pro really awesome, super stable on both Windows 10 and Mojave, it’s very powerful and have lot of features. I use it however mostly to improvise arrangements with mixer and clips launcher (super effective for that, iPad allows to display two views at the same time), as I tend to be more at ease to create with my well known mouse workflow. New effects/instruments template editor could change that. That being said, I don’t use Ableton that much, so I’ve used Touchable Pro perhaps 30 or 40 times.

Yeah, I’m reading more grumbles than positives at the moment. Not too fussed about updates - as long as it works now, then at least I’ll get some use from it. Reading a lot of issues regarding connectivity, though to be fair some of these could be related to the users computer setup.
If it works, and I get a good year’s worth of use from it then I’d consider it a good buy.
@JohnnyGoodyear - hop up boss, room for one more!
@royor thanks for your input and observations here, big help.
I had to quit the touchable icon at the top of the laptop screen and relaunch it from apps to get the server to work.
Quick question. If I am working on an Ableton project on my Windows 10 desktop computer, can I take my iPad Pro upstairs and continue working on my song from Touchable Pro? For example, can I set the audio outs to the Wireless or perhaps Bluetooth extender? I recognize there'd likely be some latency, but it'd be nice to move between these two seamlessly.
@MonzoPro @JohnnyGoodyear You’re welcome..
I think Touchable Pro's website went down? Can't seem to download the Windows software host/server for it. "404 Not Found nginx"
@inakarmacoma
I believe these have been updated twice since yesterday.. Try this fresh one..

Yeah that dual view looks really handy. Can definitely see myself getting this, just need a bit more persuading that the current version is stable.
@Angie thanks for the input! Unfortunately ive tried that as well. ive deleted it, reinstalled it, started from apps etc. just is not connecting.
I'm not sure how it works. I have Touchable 3 but I don't see any option for bundle or special price. Actually, I only see Touchable Pro for 27 CAD but no upgrade, bundle ...
Can someone point me what to do ?
Thanks !
Looks like there’s a bug fix update on App Store now. Hope that fixes it. The app is amazing.
Oh, it's not me at least ... cheers,
Were you already an Ableton expert or has this helped you along/made you use it more?
Hahah. I am more of a lumbering somnobulist when it comes to Ableton. Certain parts just click...and i flow with it.
I find Touchable Pro a great substitute for the Push2 when I’m away from my little cave of synthetic exile. I’ll give it an overview tomorrow to see if it’s running as well as always and report back.
Sound good?
Is there a way to route audio form Ableton Live to Touchable Pro (e.g. the iPad's 3.5mm headphone jack, for example?) It seems to be advertised, but I'm not seeing an obvious way to route the audio, or make the ipad the default audio out device?
Wondering the same thing, how useful would this be on the couch away from the computer on headphones. Is the control there to create without being in arms length to the host?
It does Sir. Any pep in your talk thereafter will help much
If it was possible, being able to create in bedroom, when host is in the office would be great fun. But I don't see a way to do it. Maybe not supported? Maybe with studiomux at the same time but seem hacky
+1
Seems connections are perfect now... update... (TestFlight)
Now, where are the bundle prices?
Aha - working ok then?
Yes.. for me..
I suppose the root of the question I have is despite its evident utility will this app help a novice Ableton user get going with the program or realistically should one become fully proficient with it first....?
Are you using it with a laptop? I’m running it on my old MacBook Pro, and as I don’t have a spare mouse, everything’s done via the clicky touchpad. Because that’s a bit laborious, I don’t put much finesse into my finished tracks, and pretty much zero mixing/fader work.
I’ve got the Launchkey keyboard which has faders, but no room for it on my desk!
So for me, just the ability to easily work the faders and trigger clips will make a lot of difference to my finished efforts, and everything contained in the iPad will keep it all tidy. It’s got a built-in keyboard and pads too, so that’s another bit of space gained from my little Korg keyboard.
I don’t think it will help you learn Ableton any faster, but it might make using it a lot easier. Tenner off, so good time to do it.
Great thanks, climbing off the fence now..
Ditto, and mostly because of your previous kind answer. I DO use Ableton on a laptop.....so, plunge in I shall and we'll see
In other news, when she asks what you want for your birthday, I think you need to plump for a bigger desk
I’m hoping to sort out better work space next month, completely squashed in here. I’ve got my ‘work’ desk, which also houses the old desktop, new laptop, monitor, back up drives etc.
Then a smaller desk has the old MacBook Pro, monitor, speaker monitors, external drives, and little Korg keyboard. This wouldn’t be so bad, but I’m using the Mk3 as an audio interface, so that’s all wired up and in the way. Hopefully the app will fit in nicely with my workflow, and I can swap the Korg for the iPad.
A bigger desk would help, but it wouldn’t fit into the room
...Room for one more?
