@rs2000 I cannot find any useful info on all the web...in the apple CAF specs I found there's chunk called 'marker', but it's empty for your file and other CAF loops I have on my computer. The whole Apple loops thing seems like some forgotten feature...also adding AIff loops support was a nightmare but finally I got to work it out

  • When saving AppleLoops from BM3 they are saved as AIFF files with markers and bpm info.
I know BeatHawk reads both CAF and AIFF AppleLoops, don't know how they do it though...

OK, I'll do some research first. When I load the file in loop editor, all markers are shown but I'll try other iOS apps and get back to you.

i wonder if the Auditor dev has some more insight into this?

I’m not fussy. As long as I can sample the neighbours dogs on one side, and screaming fag-ash Lil on the other: “CHARDONNAY!!! STATHAM!!! GET YER BLEEDIN ARSES INERE!!!”, and play them back through my dub bass 400 watt rig, I’m a happy, noisy bastard.

I believe auditor will save both AIFF and CAF files.

Those are seriously the dog’s names? Call The Hague, that’s a war crime.

  • Would love an option to have a pitch bend that is not synced to semitones, Andrea @ElliottGarage

Would be easy I think to add this choice but could be very useful in certain cases.

I think I’d better add some trim functionality here 😬

Now keep calm and take a look at some timestretch runs

Been waiting for host synced timestretching since I started with iOS production and could never understand why apps didn’t have it in. You’ve nailed it!

    👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Sounds good! What timestretch algorithm does it use? I know some are supposedly better than others (elastic band or something??)

+1, seem to be on constant ‘waiting for things’ here. Waiting for the app, waiting to find out if we can move house, waiting for Wales to allow us to go anywhere, waiting for my antibiotic treatment to finish so I can get pissed again...

    Timestretch me!

    “mnzpr” is better?

  • I wonder if an overlapping slices mode is possible one day?

Do you mean like a 'free selection' any area of the sample for any of the pads?
In that at the moment no, technically I think it should be possible...

Currently a there are Link and Thru modes for pad playback (Link respects each pads setting, pitch etc. when the following slice is triggered) while Thru mode uses the settings for the pad that one trigger.

This would indeed be nice--and another differentiator on iOS. How about randomization options?

You could essentially do that with Autony, Cality, Riffer or Rozeta

Aye capn. I meant randomization of pitch, pan, gain, etc.

  • Oh Lordy please add the random type aspects. Autony is still my weapon of choice for ease of use but insane scales and stuff! Hails to EG I am not worthy.
