Right, I’ve cleared out 5 years worth of experimental AUM jams (art is not eternal folks!), and reinstalled Auria.

    Ready.

I’m curious why Auria, brother? Not a Cubasis owner...?

Blimey, I'm going to have to reinstall Auria Pro at this rate...

Haven't followed this thread. Marginally interested in this app. But what's the significance of needing to reinstall Auria Pro?

I was going to use the app with my normal, random AUM jam sessions. But after watching the devs last vid with Cubasis - realised the potential to build up tracks via MIDI in a DAW, similar to Simpler in Live. I haven’t got Cubasis, so reinstalled Auria - it wasn’t on my pad as I’m right on the cusp of space, but cleared a bit of room for it.

I’ll see how it goes CPU wise - might not get many tracks anyway, and I’m not a fan of MIDI in Auria, so it might get kicked off again. But this looks like such a promising new app, I want to make sure I’m using it to its full potential.

Failing that I’ll trigger it in AUM and record it live, or maybe revisit the irritating Multitrack.

Yeah I haven’t got that one. Don’t like editing MIDI in Auria, so it might not work out.

Yeah I haven’t got that one. Don’t like editing MIDI in Auria, so it might not work out.

It might be worth looking at Zenbeats. It’s free and can do a lot. It does take some getting used to, and patience to slog through the initial plugin scan (sometimes needs to crash and be resumed several times). But if you psych (or self-medicate) yourself up to plough through, it can be very rewarding.

Another great thing about ZB for us Air 2 geezers is pretty smooth track freeze. B)

Maybe wait to see how people get on specifically with sEGments in it first though.

Ah ok cheers Wim, I’ve not been following that one, will check the threads - the ‘free’ word has got my attention

I see there’s a paid upgrade for AU3, be good if the free one can still output MIDI to AU’s hosted in AUM via standalone.

I’ve got a few other options: BM3, NS2, Modstep etc., or stuff like Atom in AUM - just fancied a bit more control, and a bit of track building with the new app.

@Jeezs not for keyboard mode...it requires too much cpu apply timestretch on all voices for an AU.

    Cheap timestretching (with polyphonic legato)?

  • Ok so basically Elliot is hovering his finger over the button? Coo beans...
