The app has no sequencer (Thank **** ) so sync it with your host, long press the tempo at the top, you can set the number of beats, now you will see it show the detected tempo, tap the tempo so the tempo detector hides, now tap the tempo again and press the sync button, it is now synced oldschool style with the host, note a bit further to the left you can hit warp and it will sync with host new style (timestretch)

The app has no sequencer (Thank **** ) use whatever host you are using to set up your random playback, using a MIDI AU or whatever.

1 you can init the preset, but there is also a load button, small folder next to the play button.
2 I did suggest this, and also a multi mode where you could load a sample per pad and have per pad MIDI channel, it is beyond what he had in mind for the plugin.
3 the keys mode has the same up down velocity adjust play higher up the key the louder it will be and vice versa, same as playing the waveform direct.

No, Apple loops is currently broken, worked in the last beta, just tried and it no longer works (Informed developer)but yes, when he fixes it it loads and detects Apple loop slices, Auditor is the ticket here, you can save as Apple Loop in that, but also save the accompanying MIDI file too for triggering

my screen doesn’t have a small folder icon next to the play button. is yours on ipad? maybe iphone is different ?

I tried many hosts and got some random UI glitches in most of them but no 100% reliable way to reproduce them.

Yeah I will, just tried again and it was fine.

I notice the topbar section with the logo and controls, and the middle control bar (rev, shot, pan etc.) don't scale like the wave display and pads/keys do - they simply realign and overlap. I wonder whether using two different layout methods is causing some controls to become 'stuck'?

@Turntablist mentioned it a couple of days ago but I was reminded today as I put sEGments through the paces: the results from this app are buttery smooth right out of the gate because of the way it smooths out clicks and pops at start/end points. I like the feature set and this will be a joy to use, but man it saves so much time to not have to address clicks and pops right off.

Air 2, 12x iOS.

Are the top and middle bar controls supposed to scale? They realign on mine, sliding over and obscuring some of the controls.

Not a full bug report, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing occasional crashes in AipMatrix. One instance of Seg, and one Thesys instance feeding into it. Always when with longer, high quality audio files—full songs—so that makes sense. Will see if I can narrow it down a little more, and send a bug report to dev. So far, much more stable in AUM, no crashes. Any beta-tester s care to share their experiences with ApeMatrix and Segments?

I’m having a bug in Cubasis 2. Everything will work normally for a few minutes, but then the Segments sampler will disappear from the instruments bay and the midi track no longer plays back any noises when it rolls over the notes.

After a Cubasis 2 restart it will work again for a few minutes and then it bugs out again.

I’m on an IPad Pro 10.5’ running IPadOS 13.4.1

This is a known one I reported a few days back, but I haven’t been able to narrow it down enough to make it reproducable yet

Riffer mostly - route out of Riffer and into Scaler (that way I can shift note up and down)
then back into segments.
I will sometimes use Mozaic with a probabilty script, and sometimes a random script to mix it up a bit.

My sEGments crashed in apeMatrix too. Was using Aphelian to trigger. Only one instance of each. iPad 10.5 Pro iOS 13.5.1

It only crashed once and I haven’t had enough time to play with it a lot yet. My host of choice is apeMatrix so if I can reliably repeat the crashes I’ll email data.

digikeys works great and it makes aum basically a multi track daw with just one instance... it has some drawbacks but i still find it the simplest to use and does most things... of course drambo would be a second option
