Great !
Thanks a lot for for this wonderful software.
@ElliottGarage I’m refreshing the App Store in anticipation for the update. Thanks in advance!
@ElliottGarage
Where
Is
The
Update
So excited for this update. Thanks for the great work you do!
I am assuming that this will be an IAP for the improved Stretch?
Let's hope so
True..
I did not even know this was coming, nor how soon it might drop. I am now really excited. Someone post if the see the update available. Could be midnight. A lot of sales, releases, updates, at least where I am, happier around or just after midnight. They can be anytime but more seem to bunch up just after 12am EST in USA, more then any other time. Then again this is based off the reports off of third party sites, which mite not always be updated immediately. Who knows. Fingers crossed.
This is what got me so excited 😆
So, in other words, It is being reviewed?
I assume so 🤷♂️
there is still no update. I had to lower rating in appstore to 1 star
(😆)
I’m also anxiously waiting for the update to drop, but to be fair, I suppose the speed of the review process has nothing to do with the developer. According to the IG post the update was submitted on the 29th.
I want to record from an app in AUM using sEGments in the effect slot. The recording works, but I cannot hear what I am playing during the recording. Tips anyone?
Oooh. You’re right, that’s a serious omission.
@ElliottGarage - this thing could really use a monitor switch.
@robklotzby, you can get around this by putting sEGMents on a separate channel with a Bus as an input. Then you can put a bus send on the channel you want to record. That way you can hear both.
That was my workaround yesterday, but..
+1 to monitor switch
Great tip, thanks. A possibility to crop the recording is also on my wishlist.
Yeh, it’s really needed for hosts that don’t have AUM’s flexible routing.
Monitoring is coming in the next update
Grrreat, thanks! that was really fast
Update is out, with the new monitor button, brilliant.
The only issue I've found is that when monitor is on, the slices sound distorted.. turning monitor off, bring the slices back to normal.
That makes sense to me. If monitor is on, then whatever is feeding the channel is being added on top of the slices and I would expect it to distort. If you mute or disable the input source, the slices aren't distorted even if monitor is on.
Thanks for the monitor switch @ElliottGarage !
Wow, that was fast! Thanks!
@elliotgarage I found 4 new bugs. When you change the length of a sample, it switches into reverse mode.
When you shorten the release, the sound gets loud and distorted. When you change the pitch of a sample, it pans to the left. When you change the starting point, you also change the length of the sample. And it stays short, even if you go back to your initial start point.
Hi @ElliottGarage,
Is there any chance sEGments could generate a midi file from the slices generated.
If not, another way to solve the problem could use this trick : set the the play mode to thru or link, then each time the play head reach a marker it send the midi note to the midi output of sEGments. So we just hav to record the midi forms sEGments to get the midi file out of the samples.
You can record the midi out from Segments in a sequencer such as Atom or Helium.
That’s why I suggest the trick.
For now It won’t generate automatically the mid the loop from the sample transient. You have to hit the pad to regenerate the loop.
Thanks for the quick update @ElliottGarage. You might want to check out the visual appearance of the slices when doing detect.
I recorded some drum sounds and did the slice detect. The sound is perfect, but the slice point appears slightly ahead of the sample itself. When I move the slice point to the visual start of the sample, I cut off the beginning of the sample audio. So there appears to be a slight visual shift between the slice point and the actual beginning of the sample.
I've noticed this too.
