How does Segments' pitch-shift and time-stretch compare to BM3's?
Not a knock on sEGments at all because BM3 has it’s fair share of other issues, but its stretch and pitch is pretty ill, really clean. Unfortunately no pitch detect and the bpm Calc also doesn’t work on imperfect loops. Serato does everything best, but no iOS solution.
Still can't tell. Do you find Segments time-stretch and pitch-shift comparable to BM3's quality. I don't need automatic pitch or tempo setting.
In a nutshell, BM3 has cleaner/better stretching and pitching in my opinion.

I got to page ten and got impatient. Is it possible to do the following?
Load a loop of something—say a bar of a rhythm guitar riff. Do not have any slices, but use a midi keyboard and have that riff transposed by semitones chromatically, while Stretching the loop, keeping the tempo in sync with the host. Can this be done?

Sorry to say no. That was my hope also. Dev said it was too much for the cpu.
So, if I understand correctly, you can chromatically pitch a sample without time stretching to match tempo. Or, you can Stretch a loop to match tempo, but without the ability to play it chromatically. But not both at the same time.
Couldn’t there be the ability to pitch the entire loop chromatically and stretch a sample to tempo if there are no segments and no effects used? It could be a special “third mode” for doing nothing more than pitching an entire single loop and stretching it to match tempo and nothing more—No segments, no effects, etc. just a specialized combo mode that doesn’t use the other features that would use a lot of CPU. It would basically be a mode that would allow any linear DAW to work like the desktop version of ACID PRO. The technology is already built into the app—it just needs to be combined into a special mode and extra CPU using features need to be limited from use in that mode. It is clear that this would be incredibly useful to more than just me.

I was not very clear in the previous post. The “issue” is when I record 2 bars of a (ex. 100bpm) drum loop, the outcome is not a 100bpm loop for some reason (even if I hit “synch” before rec):
SOLVED!
After you stop the recording, you need to press “SYNC” again, in order to playback in the project’s bpm.
So, before AND after “REC”...you NEED to press “SYNC”. 🤓
This would be great. Similarly, I don’t think you can stretch each slice by a different amount. Unless I’m missing it?

@ElliottGarage hi is there a way to use just the Segments Fx in a DAW . Was trying to route audio into Segments within my DAW hosts. Segments appears in my fx plugin lists as Segments Fx but nothing happens to the sound?

@stormbeats it's not possible, sEGments FX is intended to be used just to record incoming audio.
Do you guys think releasing a real sEGments FX app could be interesting? Maybe I can create a special price bundle for sEGments users...

@Lil_Stu07 basically it would be the same sEGments effect section (reverb, delay, bitcrusher and filter) to be used out of the app. I've already 1 or 2 cool features in mind

@ElliottGarage I love Your great app sEGments! But for me as a technical idiot some of the instructions in the manual are too short. Question: #ChokeGroups How can i create a group or assign different segments to the 5 groups? I did not find an explanation in this thread here. Are there good tutorials or similar for this question out there? Thanx ahead! :-)
