Still nothing. It shows "Synth Drums" and "Far North" as the last additions.

    slightest delicious crack...

    My high school nickname.

  • New sound expansion pack available:

  • Where are the ’real’ new feature updates?

This ’preset milking’ is starting to get a bit boring.
(This pack is ’ok’ but what about letting us roll our own from scratch with all the ’tools’ that are present in the engine?).

I do get that it’s some kind of ’app sustainability protocol’ at work here…

  • 145mb update for a $5 new soundpack with a whopping 30 rom-based presets.

  • Not my cup of chai from the demo.

$4.99 US of boring for this last pack. No thanks.

  • Agree to disagree. Def. a few things here I can use, but boy we are in the detune season currently...

  • I like some of these. Particularly the FM ones offer a good starting point.
I do hope investing in these is going to bring us something else than just more of the same :)

+1 Korg still has 'plenty of version decimal slots' to fill with IAPs until Gadget 5.0 eventually drops :D

  • I miss the old days when buying a new floppy with new soundbanks, you'd get multiple banks each with 128 presets.

Or the rom carts with new samples and thousands of presets.

Now Korg offers 1 terabyte soundpacks with just a handful of new presets.

Okay, going to jump back in my time-machine.

  • At least these Korg packs with 30 presets are a better deal that 15 ZC-1 presets for ZenBeats.
...and they can be used in any host (Module Pro is AUv3) compared to the Loland Offering, C'Mon it's 2021!

  • When Loland offers full ZenCore editing in ZenBeats, I'll buy another MC-101/707/MV-1. Right now you need to buy/rent Zenology Pro, and manually import presets via the SD Card. So it's sorta like the old days. Ahhh.

  • New sound expansion pack available:

  • No, no, Korg please stop milking with the IAP BS and no I will not get this one.
Gadget is long over due for some new feature updates….

Now if they drop iTrinity or iProphesy or or some bew apps I’m in.

Gadget just got an update….so it can host the new sound pack

I may skip this one for now, too busy sampling into Koala 😊

  • Seems they accidentally copied the description form the previous “Tropical Pop” pack for this “Halloween” pack.

    Correct description on Korg’s site:

Creeping dread coming from mysterious sounds that emerge from the darkness - the feeling of Halloween comes to life with this great sound pack! Create "horror sounds and atmosphere" with 30 new programs including chords and note data, SFX, and 20 new PCM files. There are scratchy strings, trembling choirs, and low and wide modulation sounds that are perfect for brewing up creepy and bizarre ambience in your intros and breaks, or leaving your listeners feeling uneasy after hearing sounds with abrupt endings. Elevate even the poppiest songs with a fun and spooky horror sound character.

Haven’t downloaded the trial yet. Like what I hear in the demo, but don’t like the doubling in price (compared to the other 30 programs packs).

  • edited September 2021

Had a little run through with the trial. There are a few patches I like the sound of but it is mostly stuff I couldn’t see me using and the ones I like I could recreate using the existing Module sounds I have plus some FX. I agree with @R_2, the price is too high on this one for what it is.

Edit: I do however appreciate that Korg lets us test the water with the option of a trial.

  • sorry if that might be a dumb question but how do i exactly know what expansions work with hybrid?íˋm only interested in this one but the module store is not exactly clear (sometimes yes, sometimes no).And are some packs currently on sale (like lo-fi house) or did they lower the price generally (assuming it was 10 bucks before)?

Only way is to read the descriptions of the expansion packs...
...it usually says if it's a Hybrid expansion.

I've stopped getting the new Module expansions with Halloween being the new LOW with 30 presets for $9.99 when it was (or if it still is) on sale...

  • well,i read all descriptions now and most of them does not clearly mention the „host“.Of course you can guess some but others i know they are for hybrid only because i read the entire thread. At least i can identify the expansions íˋm interested in.

So,prices like the 5 bucks for lofi house is normal or reduced?

I think it's regular price, usually $2.99 when on sale.

  • great,so ìˋm not in a hurry to throw my money at the screen 😎👍

Yepp, wait for the Black Friday sales...
(I will not get a single IAP for Module Pro until some new fresh apps drop, like iPhrophecy and iTriton or something similar).

I'm done with the 'IAP Milking'.
