The ‘Mangler’ sounds in this new pack are fun. Like circuit bending.
I wouldn’t have minded if they had included more of them.
A whole Mangler pack with all kinds of PCM sources would be interesting.

    Summer sale started

The 90’s IDM presets are no longer showing up in Fairbanks since Gadget’s latest update (both my iPad and iPhone).

They are showing up in Module. Restoring (both in Gadget and Module) doesn’t fix it.

    Anyone can confirm?

Nobody has the 90’s IDM and latest Gadget version to check?

Already had the feeling I was the only one still buying these IAPs :D

  • Yea sorry. $10 for 30 presets isn't really my jam lol

    but… but.. I want to make 90’s IDM :'(
    ;) :D

  • I reported the bug and KORG replied they could reproduce and will resolve it.

So if there’s anyone out there also owning this pack.. hopefully we’ll be able to make 90s IDM™️ again soon :p

I agree, don't like this model. Open up the damn synth properly - it's clearly an amazing synth - and let people make their own sounds. Good as the presets are, this is really a money grab.

What about Korg giving us an 'unlock' so we can create our own presets from scratch using all the synthesis capabilities backed in into Hybrid?

I know it'll likely never happen but still...
...I'm so fed up with the 30 preset IAPs for Module it's not even remotely interesting anymore.

I use the existing sounds but would love a bit more tweak-ability :sunglasses:

  • @Samu I’d love an unlock too.
But also enjoy sounds made by others because they inspire me in a different way than my own (which often end up similar to each other cause of the way my sounddesign brain works apparently :))

For me it’s the same as other sounds IAPs, you don’t have to buy them but they’re available for anyone interested. I probably wouldn’t have bought these if Gadget wasn’t my main app.

It's not really the same as other iaps though, because you can actually learn from those and tweak them as freely as you want, get inspiration from them, make your own patches totally from scratch etc. The hybrid synth in Module is clearly fantastic, it's frustrating not to have full access to it. Compare with Animoog Z which has a fairly pricey (but totally worth it) unlock for all features, and then a bunch of optional, reasonably priced preset packs with 50+ presets each that are totally tweakable.

  • Has anyone experienced problems restoring IAPs in Module (not Pro)?
I get to finish the download, and I also get a message saying that it was restored successfully, but nothing really happens :/

  • There's a new soundpack:

  • Korg also updated iM1 and iDS-10.

  • Any idea where this latest one turns up in Gadget?

  • More soundpacks, more nothing.

I don't need it. I don't need it. Come on Jimmy! Don't...I...bought it. 🤣 This might be cool to use in NS2.

I thought it might have finally been an AUV3 update of iM1 :( no such luck

D'oh, this was what I hoped for too. Wish Korg would get the AUv3 train already. I would be over the moon to finally get ODESSEi as an AUv3.

Sorry I didn't specify. I'm glad they fixed a bug I did not even notice.

  • There's a new soundpack:

  • Does anyone know if Korg Module soundpacks can be used with the desktop VST plugin version? And do they need to be purchased, or are they included in the desktop version? I remember reading that the KAPro packs are iOS only, but what about the rest?

They should have marketed it as something for fans of vintage 90s samples. I like it. Skyblazer is a game from 1994. This pack sounds like 1996 to me.

  • Hmmm... A GM sound pack with no drum-kits!?

Nah, pass again, C'Mon KORG You can do better than this!!!

  • Just do it Korg...Spend one year absolutely crushing the competition in the synth/rompler space. Give all your apps Auv3. Even Korg Gadget. Just do it. Please...we don't need more $10-20 packs of presets.

  • I don’t have a feeling there’s any developments going on regarding auv3 or Gadget. Pretty sad they just seem to release this soundpacks once in a while and that’s it. They have many great hq synths and Gadget has so much potential. And I think Korg will make a lot of extra money if they just start releasing all their Gadget synths as auv3.
