Im pretty much sold on the orchestral/cinematic combo in the non pro version, well enough for me to get my teeth into - I’d be well up for a full editor for the hybrid as well as it seems really versatile and sings my tunes - maybe a side order of the mello / tape one, but kinda have that covered already in other apps to be honest...

@McD, simply regularly saving “duplicating” the project makes it pain free. Still, I hopeCB3 will overcome the plugin challenge eventually.
I can confirm that Module does lack some of the features of Module Pro unless they are unlocked by connecting a Korg hardware controller (whereafter they are permanently unlocked).
It wasn’t an issue for me as I have a microkey air and nanokontrol so I still went for the free version as I have no need or desire for the organ, piano and EP sounds.
I did want the synth, hybrid and clav sounds so I only saved £5 compared to getting Pro, but I also don’t have valuable disc space taken up with sounds I don’t need.
I know it's a long shot but I have no history with Kong except for hardware. What do you think this means for the other iOS apps? auv3 for everyone?
It still bugs me that the 'Triton Best Selection' set is 34mb and only has 100 presets, but hardware Triton had 32mb ROM and thousands of presets. Seems lazy to me.
'Orchestral Dreams' is 1gb but only has 60 presets?
Maybe we'll see Orchestral Dreams Version 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,,,,,,using the same samples/ROM. $20 each.

Hope so. The Gadget synths would be perfectly suited as AUs on this platform. Simple, efficient, and good-sounding like the Bram Bos apps.
Anyway, nice to have a 7-day free trial for the KApro sets - I started auto-sampling all of the Orchestral presets to create multi-sampled keygroups but stopped after discovering that they don't sound as good as my 20-year old samples.
I wouldn’t call it lazy not to port and code the entire Triton engine over to Module. I’m glad they managed to keep the sample sizes as low as they did for those 100 sounds.

I don't think you pay at the end of the 7 day trial as it defeats the purpose of a free trial if you have to pay anyway.
According to the korg blurb you can unlock the pro features by connecting a korg keyboard or buying an IAP.
It doesn’t look like I will be charged...

@ioue Just brought the KA Pro Orchestral Dreams after 2 days onto the 7 day demo as was that impressed.
However Korg Module Pro is downloaded the IAP again does this mean now the pack is on my ipad twice and I lose 1.07 GB of space again?
I don't understand why it has to download again ?
I've actually been digging a bit deeper into the Module and even though it doesn't offer full in-depth editing the parameters chosen for each of the presets cover quite a bit of ground for quick sketching, really enjoying it as an AUv3 too.
It's surprisingly light on the CPU on my ancient iPad Air 2...
I had the same issue. I cancelled the 2nd download after purchase, appears to be ok. If not you can always re download at a later date if you have any problems.
are the iap soundpacks for hybrid on a sale price right now or is that the actual price. i bought the cinematic i’m considering the hybrid synth pack 2, did the free trial...i don’t think i’ll need to use it for a while tho as i’m trying to work with the cinematic a bit before moving on lol... but if thats a sale price id feel ok paying 4$ as opposed to 10 or something later

For me, after 7 days of trial, Hybrid and Cinematic are worth buying.
It is definitely a very interesting “hybrid” sound engine behind these sounds.
On some sounds, I can recognize resonator modeling, in addition to classic analog modeling, hence the name “hybrid” maybe (@ioue ?)
Anyway, I like these hybrid patches that can get you very quickly to very satisfying results without spending hours.

How is the MIDI CC learn supposed to work ? Is it Global, by instrument or by preset ?
Will the AUV3 support these CC ? Currently it seems to respond only to CC1 and CC64.
