re finding information inside mega threads it would nice if this forum had the facility to bookmark individual posts with a thread like thegearpage.net has

The time at the upper left of the post is a link to that post.

Thanks @rs2000 AudioLayer as audio fx is working great for recording master track. 24bit woo!

CC @aleyas AudioLayer is worth getting for its regular features, but this is really helpful til we get something in-built in Drambo. Files can be saved locally or directly into iCloud.

Of the various iPad native solutions, putting AudioLayer on the Master Track in Drambo standalone is the best so far. I don't know of any time limitations on AudioLayer recording yet, but so far so good.

  • iOS is all about the hacks and workarounds, all the way down! 😂

Sandboxed apps and practically no way to access your files...
    Ahhh, the good ol’ days.

My bad, the mute button is for the pads only, it doesn’t have anything to do with the steps - although it would be a cool function to have.

As wim said, there is a link to individual posts. Even better would be if more people took a minute or two to add the information to the wiki either in articles proper or on the forum gold page:

Is there a way to record the midi/controllers, etc. from LK loaded into Drambo instead of recording it in LK?

Yeah that works with Audioveek Midi route as well as above, route to a different Drambo channel and record the input in a different track.

Forgot to say thx! Midi route worked great 👍🏼

Has anyone got FAC Bandit multi-out working in the new Drambo? I'm struggling to get the 3 channels separately out. Almost deafened myself by connecting things wrongly last night and am now a bit scared to experiment :s

    Worth reporting here:

  • Thanks @rs2000 , not sure that it's a bug so much as my own confusion at how to route a multi-out in Drambo. If it turns out to be a bug, I'll report it

When I use Midi route from within Drambo, I can only use one instance of "Atom 1" at a time. More than that and I get all the Atoms sending their Midi to the last track at the same time. Regardless of the track input Ch. settings.

If I loopback the Atoms through AUM, I can run as many Atoms as I want on a single track. And they each send their midi only to the tracks that correspond with the Ch. number of each Atom's Midi Output module.

Seems to be. Multi-out fx are rare so this one could have easily slipped under the radar.

  • will it ever be possible to load drambo iaa into aum/audiobus/cubasis etc?

Do you know if multi-in is supposed to work? I don’t have many multi-in apps, but I loaded miRack 16 in, but there was only a stereo input.

Was looking forward to mirack multi-in so I could route Drambo CV sequencers, envelopes, etc within a single mirack instance.

You could put a switch or volume module at the end of the track and p lock it to steps.

Thanks, but I am not sure that’s what I want to do... I am trying to emulate the Active Step aka skip step function a la Korg SQ-1, i.e., mute but not delete/replace the notes in the sequence.

I'll do some more testing tonight with Bandit and Scatterbrain and report what I find. Thanks!

Ok.. how about multiple windows open at once.. Will love to run 2-3 instances of GR-16 Auv3 (when available), doing jumps, etc. live, while recording in Drambo.. Anyway, any plans to get multi-windows soon?

  • @drewinnit multi out for effects is definitely not working, I reported it last week in the beepstreet forum after trying with Bandit and Scatterbrain

@aleyas I'm pretty sure multi in is not supported yet, but I haven't seen any official confirmation (the release notes do refer to multi out support, not multi in though)

  • @NoiseFloored thanks for confirming. That saves me at least an hour of further head-scratching tonight! Thanks also for reporting it.

  • This AU hosting thing is amazing no doubt! It opens up a plethora of new possibilities, and offers a different kind of workflow for some projects.

It’s different! Working from within Drambo standalone is interesting, but I don’t think it’s something I’ll be doing a lot of, at least until I learn a little more about wtf I’m doing lol.

@echoopera thanks! I had a feeling you were going to say Luma Fusion. I’m gonna try another method as I don’t have room for LF right now.

You have multi-window today, from the upper right button. On a standard iPad I get 2 windows, with easy access to the rest via scrolling. And still access to the morph slider, track selectors etc.

  • Can you do a screen shot... I’m not getting it... Thanks

  • See red icon upper right. Just keep the AU in this compact view, and not the module icon view.

So with this, you may scroll through and interact with 16 open windows quickly, something you can’t do in AUM.

Oh this is nice, thanks the tip

  • Notice on the left side where you may scroll among the 16 windows with the first bar. The second bar allows you to scroll inside the AU, if its UI is too large in compact mode.

  • Also if you stick your iPad into portrait you can see 3 AU windows at once. What a time to be alive!
