  • Yes, some great inclusions. New browser functionality, super cute Euclidean sequencer, flanger sounds very nice, crossover layers module very handy, knobs module like Ableton macros yes please!, improved folder loading in sampler thankyou!!!

  • Awesome update. The improved midi functionality is very welcomed. So glad he squashed the “pads won’t trigger AU’s” bug too🙏🏻

  • Yeah, nice update thank you and also for M1 support a special thanks.
I just wonder if there could be something done about the non.working AUv3 in the standalone on M1 and the Drambo AUv3 inside Logic since they always crash if you want to scroll anything in the GUI.
I know it is not "supported" but I wonder if that is a huge task to solve.
Drambo is actually the only iOS app I would die for to run native inside Logic.
The standalone version works perfect so far (I mean as long as I not load any AUv3 inside it and just use Drambo modules.
I just bought all IAP just to support it a bit, thanks again.

@Charlesalbert Seems like once again, only the iPad Pro is affected.
Does anyone have this behavior on the cheaper iPad models?

Yup iPad Air updated and all working. Sorry to say but how many problems this pro...

    Wait for the next 🤣

How do you set the pattern length to 1 beat?

    Tap on the “4”

Would be nice for a short video tutorial on this update...

  • @Intrepolicious thanks! Somehow I missed it completely...

  • Amazing the amount of updates this gets. I'm speechless! Thank you @giku_beepstreet

    Tap on the “4”

Ah looks like there’s a minor bug with the “:2” button though

  • Should I report the bugs founded on iPad Pro directly on beep street forum? For me after this update sadly Drambo become unusable😭

  • @Charlesalbert said:
Tested previous version on IPad Pro 2018 12.9, fast and no bugs.
    Anyone else experienced this?

There’s definitely some issues with the AudioKit synths and Drambo. Digitalism doesn’t work for me on my iPad Pro 2018 model. Good thing all the Korg, AudioDamage and SugarBytes kit runs just fine.

Yes. It’ll definitely get attention right away over there.

  • Haven’t had a chance to dig into this update yet, can someone please tell me whether it offers a better way to bounce stems out of Drambo ?

There are no changes related to bouncing or exporting stems.

  • I wish we could have more than 32 auto slices in the flexisampler. Also, I find that the auto detect for the slicer tends to slice a millisecond or so into the transient, leaving clicks at the end of each slice from the one after it. Anyone notice that?

Yes, I have noticed but this isn’t just exclusive to Drambo. Nearly all sample slicing programs do this to some extent including things like Recycle. The auto-detect is a good starting point but I always go in and manually set my markers.

This (the clicks) has been discussed at length in beta group recently and I’m confident will be addressed soon. I personally hope for a sensitivity slider when auto slicing.

I think it’s something with Digitalism and D1 specifically. I wasn’t able to use either one in Drambo at all, even _before _ this latest update. All of the other AudioKit apps (the ones that I have anyway) are, and have been working fine in my observations. (Sub 808, Retro Piano, and House Mark I)

    Thanks for the info

Still looks like an amazing update, can't wait to check it out properly!

With 1.3.2 released, I can share this Drambo instrument I've been working on. Its called HATᴱ, and it is a hihat/cymbal instrument inspired by the 808 hats, utilizing detuned square waves and parallel band pass filters. it goes much further though, with many additional macroed controls to create a variety of sounds

    Happy Valentines Day :p

  • I have a question, can I set Drambo somehow to record exactly one sequenze? For example when I make a nice arp with my controller I would like to record it into exactly one sequenze. The way I do it no is trying to hit record on/off on the first and last step. That kind of works, but I have to admit that I miss the first an last step quite often.

Does anyone know how I could sync this up somehow?

Put a Flexi sampler at end of your chain, set to Monitor, then hit the Rec view and set it to Pattern. It will begin recording when you hit play, and stop cleanly at end of bar once you hit Record again to stop it.

  • Hi,
Really impressed with the improved folder import.
It seems like it can map velocity layers now which is just great.
I do have a question related to importing layers this way.
I’m importing a Samples From Mars library. Multiple layers are named like this:

When importing the folder, Drambo puts the “C2” layer, the one with no velocity info, on top. That is, on the hardest hitting layer...

But the way the lib is distributed, that “C2” sample is actually the softest. So it should go in this order ( soft to hard)
    -C2
    -C2-0001
    -C2-0002
    ...

Is there some “standard” here?. Some naming structure in this regard?. I don’t know if Samples From Mars are naming it wrong or Drambo is not interpreting that correctly. It’s a shame cos otherwise it’s just amazing.

    Cheers!.

Cool, great tip! Thank you, I will try this out!

  • Another nice update :)
At the moment you can’t seem to midi learn the Drambo gui, eg knobs and sliders, from the midi output of an AUv3 on the same track unless you use midi route from Blueveek. Unless I’ve missed another workaround..
Anyone know if this is going to change one day?

When/if midi loopback is added, then this will be possible. The alternative would be to use Drambo standalone, then host an AU instance of Drambo. Any midi routed to that AU instance can be mapped/learned.

Ok thanks, yeah I’m referring to standalone, where there are for me some workflow issues holding me back from replicating things that are easy to do in AUM, but each update brings nice improvements :)

It is, this MIDI stuff is still in the works. Routing MIDI currently requires (free) external tools.

@quartzite That's a great one, thanks for sharing!
