Do multi-out effects work after the recent Drambo update? Scatterbrain and Multiband specifically.
Yes Xynthesizr is IAA but I have other things I need to sync like Rozeta and Riffer etc to AUv3 synths plus other IAA stuff too!
Can I continue to use all in AUM project as I currently do then run Drambo in AUM just for its sampling capabilities (but also run AUv3 apps inside Drambo inside AUM?)
Thanks so how I work depends on what I’m working with.
IAA apps + Drambo sampler + AUv3 = AUM
AUv3 apps only = Drambo or AUM
No, not yet
I think Ableton link is your best bet.. Drambo don’t host IAAs...
Oh my. I just wanted a sampler to use with AUM, some people suggested Drambo and it’s opened Pandora’s box!
That’s good to know. I was wondering if loading samples would have an impact. I’m loading whole banks of samples of kicks, hats etc into different Samplers, just so it’s easy to find one to use. Should start removing the ones I’m not using then!
Multiband (the app) works for me, you just need to use the ‘linked group’ function instead of ‘multi-output’ and set the instances accordingly. I use it to send separate frequencies to different send busses.
Ah, right, the workaround does work for Multiband
Would you mind expanding on this a little? I love the idea, but I can't entirely grasp how this works.
All done. Thanks for the email
Hi everyone it’s me again.
I need some help.
I’m trying to glide notes with Drambo. loaded a sampler, loaded sample and added CV Glide at the start of the chain, but regardless of the glide time set, I’m not able to get the sound i want.
Please have a look at this video for better understanding. Any help is pretty much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for replies
Are you playing legato? the notes need to overlap for the glide to work. You can do this by dragging the preceding note‘s duration onto the following note.
Hi, yes in legato. And the notes overlap but can’t get it to play as legato.
@Paa89 bow many voices do you have set on your MIDI TO CV module? If it is more than 1, then you won’t hear the glide effect until all voices are held, and one additional note is played.
Could you take a screenshot of the Drambo track?
Also, an alternative to CV glide is the Slew Limiter module, found in ‘misc’ section. Connect slew limiter to pitch, and Flexi pitch to slew. You’ll be able to adjust the rise and fall glide times independently.

This is how it’s currently set up
Is this the right way?
@Paa89 yeah, the slew looks good.
Man, I’m stumped. I copied your settings and everything is working on my end.
One last thing to try.. recreate that patch in Drambo Standalone. If it’s working in standalone, then it might be an issue with Cubasis.
@Paa89 In your screenshot, the notes don't overlap. Like @aleyas wrote, for legato to work, the note on event has to happen before the note off event, not just right next to it.
Is it possible to midi map some input to open an AUv3 (preferably in fullscreen)?
Also, can I map Drambos controls when it’s loaded inside Drambo?
Not sure about the midi map part of your question, but tried the mapping of Drambo controls when it’s loaded into Drambo and it doesn’t appear to work for me.
It does work but you have to use the MFx version of the Drambo AUv3, otherwise it will ignore the MIDI control messages that are present on the AU module MIDI input.
Awesome. I‘ll have to try this tonight. Thx.
Perfect, thanks for that.
Thanks for the replies guys. So i did a test.
I had both Drambo and AudioLayer playing the same sequence with same glide time and sample.
AudioLayer can glide notes that are immediately one on top of the other and glide notes that are overlapping but can’t quite hear the same from Drambo.
Here is the video of the test.
@Paa89 I wish I had Cubasis 3 to test.
One last idea - if you click the MIDI TO CV header there is an option to toggle 'trigger overlapped notes'. Try playing with that to see if it has any impact. (that option is separate from the cv glide retrigger option)
@Paa89 Please also increase the glide time in Drambo, just from listening it's set to a much shorter time than in AudioLayer. Set it to something around 200-300ms.
For anyone who found my previous Round Robin drambo module helpful, I’ve now added a Random Robin version too!
