Will Pure Piano ever go on sale? It was my only wish but in the meantime I bought so much more than I needed...
Do not buy x drummer, you will be very sad. I’m so glad I was only out $10 on that one and it finally cured me of thinking the next positive grid app would be good…
Not much today…

Can totally recommend grabbing these if you use LK. They’re really quick and easy as they talk straight to the tracks in matrix.
And if you don’t have matrix yet, how’s your chance 😊
What is LK?
Check the recent reviews pretty bad feedback also it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. I was definitely interested but … anyone currently using without any major issues ?
Thanks !
It was awesome. Absolutely the best IMHO. There were several presets I used with slight tweaks and got great results. But they didn’t keep up with iOS updates and those same presets are now nasty and distorted.
I contacted them and they said there would be no updates. It’s a shame because it was really good. There may still be aspects of it that will work for some but I tried tweaking and adjusting and could never get rid of crackling and distortion that wasn’t there before.
I have been getting pretty good results with Klevgrand Grand Finale. It’s a simpler tool but works better than others I’ve tried. YMMV
Yea i did see the reviews and update history, but I don’t have that one so can’t speak on it.
A free app, that has IAPs to unlock its full use.

This is f*ckin hilarious! 😁😄😁😄
Someone in the same boat as me!
Made me laugh on the train.
What did you get?
I saw the 'all in' advert but still didn't go completely nuts on it
I bought: oboe, standard bassoon (that cheeky cheeky bassoon) :-) double bass (heaaaavvvvy), alto sax 🎷
Altho.... I refrained from buying cello, or flute, as I have those in GeoShred.
I still don't really know if AudMod's versions sound better so I just kept with my GS versions for now.
If anything else, I hope just to attempt to recreate some of my fave Danny Elfman scores. Never tried something ambitious like this before so I'm sure it'll be hard but hopefully some fun.
Also, for being able to use these more traditional type instruments, I enjoy the Super mario 3d scores, which have a more accessible structure.
Nintendo's tunes since the Wii came out seem to have used more traditional orchestral sounds and I think they're superb.
Imaginando LK plus Matrix IAP is a great pattern based sequencer (And Ableton Live remote btw) that also works as an AUv3 in AUM etc.
It does a lot that ATOM/ATOM2 wanted to in the first place, like no-frills automation and MIDI clock sync.
It can import even long MIDI files into one clip without issues and the recent update has improved piano roll UI performance dramatically, you can now scroll smoothly through thousands of notes.
For the price it's an absolute steal, even at its regular price, and the developers do an outstanding job.
@SkillipEvolver So far I have got the clarinets bundle, baritone sax, Saprano sax, bass flute, piccolo flute, Contrabassoon, double bass, viola
Also have a bunch of the brass from when they first came out… I have the first geoSWAM bundle as well.
I took one day to watch videos online and then dug out my Korg controller and mapped a couple parameters to some knobs. Messed around and had a BLAST, once you start to practice and get familiar.
Playing sample libraries after is so boring lol. I’m about to get a better keyboard and a expression pedal.
Maybe even try one of those fancy wind/breatheController
has it already disappeared again?
to add something to this, it's my go-to app/sequencer on every single synthesizer jam/experimentation session and it has many "ableton live"-stype midi controllers pre-mapped with the button LEDs working
can lk record into it's self?
i mean, can i record the output of xy, pads, keyb.,chord,... directly into a matrix clip of the same au instance?
How does the standalone version compares to the geoswam versions? I am getting one of those aerophone but they don’t work with the iap versions.
GeoSWAM can be easier to play straight away. The geoshred interface can work very well.
But I think the dedicated apps have more options, and thinking ahead will the Geoshred versions get updates in the future? Sort of like FabFilt plugs in Auria.
I was confused to with the options, but ultimately decided the dedicated apps should be the better buy.
I was trying to convince myself to buy the brass bundle on desktop, but it’s expensive. Being able to buy single instruments on iOS I like much better… even if I do end of buying them all lol.
I think you're mistaken or maybe just misunderstanding, if you don't think the Aerophone can work with with Geoshred/Geoswam instruments. It is nothing complicated, you just need to set Aerophone up to send on midi channel other than channel 1. (I assume this can be done on Aerophone, if not you can easily run Aerophone through a midi routing utility on iPad that forwards it to Geoshred.) This has been discussed several times in these forums, most recently here, I think: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/46839/geoshred-geoswam-clarinet-midi-controller
That linked thread includes a video tutorial by Gavinski on how to send midi controller messages (in your case Aerophone) to Geoshred/Geoswam.
