They usually make a very good price on everything … if that’s what you mean by “ action “

Ha, I think that’s the only kind of action I’ll get from SoundToys, and want from them for that matter! Already spent too much on desktop music software this year but I’d love some Soundtoys to round things out.

Goodness me, that's a discount. Although would anyone pay 2k for that? ALso I'm not sure I can support any plugin bundle that includes an "Emo Generator" :)

Ha! The emo series is meant for live sound work.

  • Isn’t emo just goth-light?

I believe they both come under the collective noun "shoe-stare"...

I think shoegaze was "I'm really into this sound but too introverted to look at the audience" and emo was "I wish I had some angst but this delicious smoked salmon and caper quiche my mother packed me is too delicious... stare at my pedals to distract".

I am clearly showing my age and prejudices!

  • Hehe.

I was in goth bands in the 80s and a shoe gaze band in the 90s but emo passed me by completely. I was never sure what it was meant to be about.

  • The Soundtoys sale is up. Nice, but not enough to tempt me after my IK pillage.

  • Slate Digital has all 16 of their sample packs for free until January 1st 2022, at which point I believe they will switch to a monthly service. Either way… these packs range from 750mb to 1.7 GB and the sounds are pretty high quality, tons of useful stuff.

    https://app.slatedigital.com/sample-packs

Tip: Since space on my iPad is limited I went into settings changed the download location from “on my iPad” to iCloud where I have plenty of space, then easily moved them to an external HD, and deleted i cloud version. Didn’t take too long to grab them all. Well I already had six, but still. Cheers!

Thanks Poppa! Do you know if that means they become unavailable for download next year?

  • Let's not be surprised, AIR Music has finally decided to hand out the Drum Synth 500 plug this sales season for an easy $10.21. It's been out for a few years now, previously not at the usual AIR giveaway prices until now. The ad copy is quite long if you find your self in the water closet desperate for something to review. https://vstbuzz.com/deals/80-off-drum-synth-500-by-air-music/?ref=3

  • IK has a new promotion for the Max products:

    https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=MAXtacular&utm_source=forum&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=maxtacular

Good deals, but not (quite) as good as the group buy. Nice if you are just missing some specific thing though.

Pulsar has also got a sale going (til Nov 26th which is BF). I'll be checking out the Mu which has got some high praises ($49 ~ a little less at AudioDeluxe for me). The Echorec ($29) has also got some raving fans as I've seen.
