@tk32 and @blueveek , thanks for a quick reply. I’ll choose the easy route and wait for the update and just manually un-launch the atoms for now.
You are epic. Wow. Thank you!
I will say that working with Atom 2 in ape matrix is a great experience. I’ve always turned to AUM for familiarity reasons but apeMatrix is quite seemless to navigate and modular, you can access midi routing matrix , keyboard , synth , effects your atom piano roll and more all at the Same time on the screen without having to bounce around, and adding atom 2 to this mix is spectacular! You don’t have access to the launch button from what i can tell, but I’m using LK to trigger the clips so it isn’t crucial for me. But yes, if you have apeMatrix def give it a try with atom 2 , brings a whole new life to it
You have access to the launch parameter.
Maybe it can be mapped to something in apeMatrix's UI, but I'm not sure.
Nice! I’ve got a lot to learn about apeMatrix still so i didn’t even Think about that... great to know I’ll have to dig around and see what all can be done !
Who’s voice is this on the video?
Not certainly a german guy talking english - that sounds more like Arnold Schwarzenegger!
I think it‘s @blueveek himself - at least i guessed that off of his old videos.
I think it’s @winconway
Maybe we need to revisit KRFT and it’s ‘snapshot’ feature... I guess they were ahead of their time..
Nice app but it’s fatal flaw is there is no way to save, back up or transfer your KRFT setups to other devices.
Can you customize the color of the atom 2 node via AUM? When i try it always changes it back to one if the 9 colors in the atom 2 color options
It was discontinued years ago.. if only it did not, in this age of Auv3?
Maybe they will resurrect..
In the video some posts above @blueveek stated that the colors are changed to match the colors of Atom/LaunchPads.
Edit: @ around 7:20 / 7:30 in the video some posts above...
If you pick a custom color, it will stick around even after reordering.
Yes my voice is much more scary sounding
Ok, so it will always default back to one of the 9 colors built into Atom 2. I was just curious as i like to use black on my midi fx so as hoping there was a way to turn that off in Atom 2. Thank ya for the clarification!
Ah gotcha, you meant using a completely new color. There's partial support for this when editing the theme files, and you can pick black in there as one of the colors in the palette. However, this doesn't translate well to the Launchpad colors (black is... LED off).
Still no update (2.0.2) for the multichannel midifile import; maybe something went wrong, @blueveek ?
seems updated version removed stretch feature why
Thank you @blueveek; I'm really looking forward to this functionality, that's why I'm impatient... Thanks again for this gamechanging app!
Is this somewhere in the settings? I did look around but did not see options
Search for 'Styles' in your Atom folder on iCloud: https://github.com/victorporof/atom/tree/master/Styles
Ahh oh boy scripting 😂 i will probably make Atom not work at all if i touch the controls !
Don't worry if you break something, all you have to do is delete that folder and Atom will automatically re-create it with the original scripts.
This makes sense @blueveek
Although the colours when on the AUM nodes are practically invisible they’re so dark. Or am I doing something wrong?
It’d be great if the AUM colour and node was set to a brighter/more saturated version of the colour, then this was processed at the atom2 instance somehow. Hope I’m making sense?
Edit:
Eg...
i switched back to aum and i have to say atom is almost perfect. now i want to be able to add plugins inside drambo inside aum
It used to be that way, see https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/864654/#Comment_864654
But both me and Jonatan preferred the darker node background so I went with that.
Maybe a middle ground? Agreed the candy colour nodes look rubbish
Yes they are definitely to dark at present. Can make out any differences.
