  • Can’t work out how to change the keyboard size, managed to get only 2 octaves showing & I want 3. Impressed so far but would also appreciate being able to close the browser page by just tapping ‘Browser’ again.
Def considering shelling out on all packs expansion for the presets. Love to use presets as jumping off points for making my own sounds.

  • Is it possible to move the preset packs I purchased in SynthMaster Player iOS to SM2 or do I have to purchase them again in the SynthMaster Expansions bundle?

  • Probably a silly question but why is there an “online” category in the preset browser? How do I browse all presets regardless if they’re local or online? If I buy the desktop presets or expansions will they appear in “online” or “local?”

I second this; the other three buttons in that cluster (Save, Settings and About) already behave exactly that way, so the user is led to expect that behaviour from Browse as well.

The “online” presets have been uploaded by users and are not necessarily vetted for quality by the app developer. I’ve found quite a few are of very good quality and then others which were not to my liking, but there are many for users to choose from.

  • Is anyone else having this issue with the left and right delay controls?

It’s only happening in stand alone, not a biggie since I’ll be mainly using it as an au in a Daw. I was just playing around in stand alone learning it first and doing some tweaking and came across it.

  • Are these Presets different than all the ones I’ve purchased already for SynthMaster 1?

First, when picking patches in the “Browse” drop-down menu, the previous patch name selection does not deselect until one does a series of “choose, then un-choose” steps in between. "Browse" button is a tab button, just like "Layer1" "Layer2", "FX" or "Info" tab buttons. It doesn't open up a popup window.

Whether or not it’s a pop-up window isn’t really the concern. The point is being able to exit any function at any time and easily return to an identifiable main screen.

Thanks for listening to users, and keep up the great work!

But there's no actual "main" screen, is there?

In the standalone version of the app (when it’s not being used as an AUv3 inside a DAW), this is the default screen, which looks like a “Main” screen to me. And it should be immediately obvious how I can return to this view.

I’ve bought SM2 now after beta testing.
    I still have two problems.
    1. the arp isn’t running if I load the initial preset
    2. It’s not possible to choose „FM“ in the routing, it stays on „PM“
Maybe someone here can help me out😔
I also reported them. Have you heard about these problems @kv331audio_bulent ?

Seeing these also plus I can’t enter Slide or Hold on any but the first step of the Arp/Seq.

BTW, here's the video demonstrating how you can register with your SynthMaster 2.9 desktop serial number and download all desktop presets (including factory presets). Looks like downloading factory presets happen when you select "Download Bonus Presets". I'll try to be more clear on that in the next update.

    Thanks. This helped.

Anybody already summarized in how far this differs or enhances on the first version?
Skipping over the posting, I don't get it immediately....

Just in case this was written already 😅🤗

Bulent have already answered this question, but, Synthmaster One is more or less an “budget” version of the big Synthmaster, more lightweight and less options, but, Synthmaster One can achieve pretty descent sounds, but, now when we have the REAL thing - Synthmaster 2.9x for iPad, we have reach the desktop quality on iPad!

The future for iPad in the music making world wide community is fuckin’ bright - sure, iPad Pro isn’t a cheap device, but, it has so many advantages compare to regular Macbooks concering playability…

By the way… How does one get back to the “Main” screen view after one goes deeper into the various editing screens?

    -(Larger image) Main screen:

-(Smaller image) This (to me) looks like it should appear on every succeeding screen. It looks like a navigation center for the app and there should a consistent block of navigation buttons so a user can quickly jump between screens.

-Also important is the playable keyboard. It should be visible or should be able to be called up in any screen view.

Ah, I get it now, your view is slightly different than mine (11"). I just tap on Layer 1 or Layer 2, but I see how tapping Browse again for it to take you back to the layer you were editing can be useful.

Yes, as Synthmaster One and Synthmaster 2 are two different synths but with some similarities. Synthmaster 2 is the more advanced, ”deeper” one, while of course you may find some similar presets in both of them.

    +1

I pointed this out earlier in the thread and in the beta process. As I am used to the Browse button in SM One which you tap and close the window > back to ”main” screen”, this had me confused. The Browse button in SM 2 stays lit when pressed again and nothing happens, until you press one of the layer buttons…

All-in-all, great job @kv331audio_bulent and team! You guys just raised the level for synths on iOS and the community seems to be more than pleased!

    👏👏👏

Ok then we will make it work in a similar way, I mean when you tap the button again it'll switch back to the previous tab. I guess that would work :)

Absolutely. I applaud your decision. :) It's a great synth anyway, but thank you also for being responsive. 👏

They will look into it as stated earlier in the thread. I also have a bunch of preset packs bought in SMP which would be great to just load into SM2 and both use and tweak them.

Contrary to SynthMaster one, I can’t insert SM2 as a Music effect in ApeMatrix, so no audio can be fed in. Do you know how to use the vocoder ? Thanks !

I'd like to know if this is coming as well. I thought the oscillator section had an 'audio in' option..

  • I'm kinda curious about how much 'preset-overlap' there is between iOS Synth MasterPlayer (with 2.9 presets etc.) and iOS SynthMaster 2?! (This as it was mentioned that it will be at some point in time possible to download the SynthMaster Player IAPs/Presets into Synthmaster 2). I've got a bunch of IAPs in the 'Player' so being able to get those over to SM2 would be nice.

  • Sorry to hark back to presets but after noting 849 presets, I registered to receive the bonus presets (didn’t get an email but the registration window now shows my email address). I saw the presets download and the number of presets increased to 1943. I then purchased the DeskTop Presets IAP and Apple have charged me £4.99 but the number of presets didn’t change.
When I clicked purchase again it looks like Apple would charge me again but did receive my Apple Invoice the first time I clicked on purchase.
I would like to purchase the 38.99 SynthMaster Expansions IAP but I don’t want to until I know I have the ones I already purchased for 4.99.

I tried the Desktop Expanion registration but I only have free player online versions and only iOS IAPs for SynthMaster Player (which I presume I have to purchase again as part of the 38.99 IAP?

Thx...good to know somebody has the same issues.
Let’s hope the developer take a look into it.
For me the arp & FM are very important features which should work🙏🏽

Yes i reportet this before. There are also some issues on the filterbank and the filters itself in standalone.
    In AUV3 its fine.

Thanks. This post and that of Sam were not visible when I posted. Just need to find out what my 4.99 IAP is supposed to get me that is different to the Bonus presets I downloaded when I registered.
