It’s a tab, just click on an other tab to change it.

It is stated here in the thread that it will be changed though

Thanks. This post and that of Sam were not visible when I posted. Just need to find out what my 4.99 IAP is supposed to get me that is different to the Bonus presets I downloaded when I registered.

I believe the bonus presets for registering are from NatLife and Yuli Yolo. The 4.99 IAP are all the rest of the desktop version factory presets, bringing it in total to about 1950 presets. Enough to fiddle with for an hour or…. more. But not enough cowbells.

    😊

Will take some time (depends on Apple). With Atom 2 it was a week or two, if I remember right.

„ Those of you guys who already purchased SynthMaster One would have to pay the price difference according to Apple's app bundle rules ($24.99 - what you paid for SM1 before). Those of you who purchased SynthMaster One when it was $24.99 will receive SynthMaster 2 for free, and those of you who purchased SynthMaster One for $19.99 will receive it for just $5 :)

  • Oh. Damn I just bought 2 for £14.99 but have 1. Ouch what now

😬😬😬 I guess you could return it and wait for the bundle to come out. I was going to wait but I got SM1 for like $4 so my discount would have cost more than the $14.99

  • I don’t k so how much I paid for it - is there a way to find out

Apple knows, so your bundle price will be set accordingly.

    That is correct!

Desktop Preset Upgrade IAP is NOT necessary for SynthMaster 2.9 desktop users, they just have to register with their desktop email addresses and serial numbers. I will write this clearly in the IAP description :)))

Apple approved the bundle this morning. It'll take a while to propagate globally.

Well, the SM One + SM2 bundle is out now, at least in Belgium. :)

Bought it, thank you for the offer @kv331audio_bulent.

First, when picking patches in the “Browse” drop-down menu, the previous patch name selection does not deselect until one does a series of “choose, then un-choose” steps in between. Please look into fixing this. Also, it might make sense and be more intuitive to be able to click on the “Browse” button again to close the browser view.

"Browse" button is a tab button, just like "Layer1" "Layer2", "FX" or "Info" tab buttons. It doesn't open up a popup window.

Whether or not it’s a pop-up window isn’t really the concern. The point is being able to exit any function at any time and easily return to an identifiable main screen.

Thanks for listening to users, and keep up the great work!

But there's no actual "main" screen, is there?

In the standalone version of the app (when it’s not being used as an AUv3 inside a DAW), this is the default screen, which looks like a “Main” screen to me. And it should be immediately obvious how I can return to this view.

Ah, I get it now, your view is slightly different than mine (11"). I just tap on Layer 1 or Layer 2, but I see how that tapping Browse again for it to take you back to the layer you were editing can be useful.

    @ervin said:
I second this; the other three buttons in that cluster (Save, Settings and About) already behave exactly that way, so the user is led to expect that behaviour from Browse as well.

Ok then we will make it work in a similar way, I mean when you tap the button again it'll switch back to the previous tab. I guess that would work :)

Terrific! That will be very helpful.

Bundle is on at the store..

  • What is the bundle price if you already own SM One and SM Player?

  • Something seriously wrong with bundle…..

Yup, similar thing here on the U.K store.

Did you scroll all the way down and then backup to see if this triggers an adjustment?

If it doesn't, this means that you got SynthMaster One at a big discount.

Bundle math is very simple: the Apple Store takes whatever price you paid for a bundle component and subtracts that from the bundle total. So, if you get a component for free or a big discount, the bundle can be more expensive than remaining components.

You can check to see what you paid for Synthmaster One -- it looks like you might have paid 9.99 for it.

Ok, so I completed my SM bundle, registered Synthmaster 2 iOS and also got the desktop presets expansion IAP that was on sale, once installed I've got 1937 presets in total?!
(The huge 'Syntmaster Expansions Bundle' thing will have to wait, can't find any reasonable motivation to get it for now...).

There is quite a lot of 'preset overlap' with the iOS Synthmaster Player app which was to be expected...

I don't have the 2.9 update IAP for iOS Synthmaster Player as I suspect those presets are partially already present in Desktop expansion pack for Synthmaster 2. (At least I've found most if not all presets from the desktop SynthMaster Player in iOS Synthmaster 2 and SynthMaster Player).

Once I have all my purchased iOS SynthMaster Player IAPs safely installed in Synthmaster 2 I'll delete the player app to save some space. (SynthMaster 2 feels a LOT more CPU friendly compared to Synthmaster Player!).

Currently I'm dissecting some of the presets but for example the 'Drumkit' mode in the arpeggiator puzzles me as the only available slider to adjust is the step-velocity and it's using the additive oscillator type for the sounds with one sample per partial or something weird like that :D (I hope I'll be able to figure it out sooner or later).

Only 'thing' I find a but tricky is precise value editing as I've found no way to type in values, but the longer from the knob I drag my finger the higher the resolution gets and that kinda works.

Over all it's a nice synth and it's relatively easy to tweak considering it's 'scope & depth'...

And yeah, I think at the intro price it's well worth it...
...since I already had Synthmaster One copleting the bundle was 110SEK and then to 55SEK pack for the presets.

    Time to cool down again...
    Cheers!

Thanks ! I wasn't sure if it was a must to buy (first, I'm not a synth freak and got Synthmaster One already, barely use it and bought at a mega sales price) but you're comment didn't convinced me to put the trigger. Thanks again for making me saving money ! ;)

Well, I'm still puzzled by the app, the number of presets seems to change between re-launches?!
At least it's easier to tweak that Synthmaster One and seems more CPU efficient as well, that's for sure...

Yeah, save the chash, iOS SynthmasterPlayer has all the same sounds for 'non tweaks' :)

SynthMaster One price is currently $14.99
SynthMaster 2 price is currently $14.99
SynthMaster 1+2 Bundle price is currently $24.99 -> $5 less than sum of individual products

(there might be additional taxes based on your country)

So, what is wrong with the bundle ?

When you "Complete My Bundle", you'd have to pay $24.99 - (What you paid for SynthMaster One)
