Currently I'm dissecting some of the presets but for example the 'Drumkit' mode in the arpeggiator puzzles me as the only available slider to adjust is the step-velocity and it's using the additive oscillator type for the sounds with one sample per partial or something weird like that :D (I hope I'll be able to figure it out sooner or later).

I have to revisit the DrumKit mode. It was one of the modes that no one ever used (or asked for feature requests)

  • At some point, SM One was free. So, if you got it for free or very cheap, the bundle price will be greater than the price of SM2. That's how bundles work

    Ok, now worries about that...
...I was just looking for the actual 'notes' it triggers but could not find them anywhere :)
(I thought the drum loops where just triggering drum samples/notes using the regular sequencer).

Btw. Is it possible to 're-order' the effects? (I've not managed to find a way to do that yet?!)...
...something like 'tap'n'drag' to a new position? (and if there's already an effect in the target slot put it in the source slot)
(For example drag an effect from slot 1 to slot 4 and if there's an effect in slot 4 put it in slot 1).

Other minor things would be 'manual value entry'?

When tapping on a value/knob/field, under the 'Set to default' option there could also be an 'Edit Value' that would bring up the keyboard for manual value entry?

But for now I'll just enjoy the app and get to know it inside & out :)

    Cheers!
    /Samuel

SynthMaster One price is currently $14.99
SynthMaster 2 price is currently $14.99
SynthMaster 1+2 Bundle price is currently $24.99 -> $5 less than sum of individual products

(there might be additional taxes based on your country)

So, what is wrong with the bundle ?

When you "Complete My Bundle", you'd have to pay $24.99 - (What you paid for SynthMaster One)

    That makes sense.

  • @kv331audio_bulent Is it a 'known bug' that it's impossible to add Hold or Slide in the Arpeggiator/Sequecer on other steps than step 1? (Some of the presets have Hold or Slide on other steps than step 1 but those can not be edited).

  • Hey all…. I searched and searched, but could not find an answer…. Is there a way to midi map or midi learn anything to toggle through the presets?? There are so many that it would be awesome to have my midi controller just click click click through them!

    Thanks. Great sounding Synth!!!

  • Somebody should really change the title of this thread. I had no idea it was out. I was like, Wow, people are really involved in this beta!

Here's the question: Is SM2 hugely different than SM One? I happen to be using SM One in a track just this week, but usually I never reach for it. It's kind of overwhelming. It feels like dragging out The Collected Works of Shakespeare when all you want to do is re-read Hamlet's soliloquy.

Of course, it only costs $10 for the bundle — how can I pass that up?

If you find SMone kind of overwhelming, you will most likely find SM2 more so 😀

  • Wow. Awesome synth. I always struggled with SM One and the fiddly controls. I spent only a few minutes with SM2 and felt right at home. Great layout, nice control scheme. Everything feels pretty responsive so far. Great sound. Sample import works like a charm. This one can easily become my goto synth. Thumps up for the good work. A big improvement over SM1.

It just seems like not the synth you reach for when you have a general sound in mind, you know? It kind of does everything, and every preset is loaded with effects and modulations.

  • Couldn't resist this one, it's huge. Might take a while to fully explore it, not complaining though, worth the journey I reckon. Hopefully the few little bugs get ironed out I know it's still early days. Remarkably stable and efficient so far, took me ages to crash it (I guess vector OSC wasn't meant for samples 😁)

Just a tiny display bug I guess: VA Filter displays the last 3 Filtermodes all as Dual when selected. SVF shows non when Multimode is selected. Happens in standalone and auv3. Great synth so far. Pretty light on the cpu as well on my iPad 6th gen 9.7" with iOS 14.6.

  • @Samu

Only 'thing' I find a but tricky is precise value editing as I've found no way to type in values, but the longer from the knob I drag my finger the higher the resolution gets and that kinda works.

Thanks for this little nugget of gold! Never knew and was one of my major gripes about not being able to control knobs with precision, but this actually works really well and on top of that you can actually see the knob while you are doing it!!! Woohooo!

For me the bundle (I already own Synthmaster One) is $15.00, but the price for Synthmaster 2 is shown as $14.99.

Is the bundle price wrong in the US store?

Latest beta the auv3 doesn’t use widescreen skin on 12.9 iPad Pro

    Which DAW ?

Both Cubasis 3 and Garageband. It doesn’t choose the wide skin in both letterbox mode and full screen. (For example in full screen there’s also no keyboard option.)

SynthMaster One continues to use the appropriate wide screens however.

See the discussion slightly up-thread about how the bundle completion price is calculated. The price you paid for synthmaster one determines the completion pride.

  • Tried to register my desktop serial, but I'm not sure if it worked. I only see 849 presets.

Bulent did a video on how to download desktop presets
Touch the middle of the preset name and then go to Download Desktop expansions

See the picture - the regular price of the bundle in uk is £30 hence it costs me more to complete the bundle than to buy the app alone.

    I do not think so:

Did the tooltip window display progress about downloading any stuff? Even with bonus presets the number would have reached to 1950. So I don't think it downloaded anything for you. Please try again "Download Bonus Presets"

This is why I'm holding off on the purchase too, I think SM1 sounds really good but I hardly ever use it because it feels like it's aimed at a certain type of user, I'm not a preset buyer either. It's tempting to get the update, but I just feel the character of the sound isn't my cup of tea :)

I have multiple. I have Launchpad control XL, a novation, nanokey Studio.

  • @kv331audio_bulent, you mentioned that SM2 is able to load SM player presets. And yes, I can find these items in SM2 under the KV331 Audio shop menu.
The question is whether I can edit these SM Player presets in more depth in SM2 or I can adjust only the same parameters like in SM player?

It would be a real bummer if they can’t be edited… the only upside would be that they all reside in one app…

    😢

  • Coolest demo of the app so far :sunglasses:
