That doesn't seem to be working for me either. I'm out of time now. I'll pick this up again later in the day.
OK - sorry, I don't have Ventura so can't test it. The other option that people have mentioned is to completely reinstall Ventura...!
Oh, god forbid. Anything but that! I'd rather wait for an update.
Update: I missed the first instruction by @enkaytee. To move the PKG file to the applications folder and run it from there. It worked. I now have an up to date copy of DS on my Mac. Thanks @enkaytee!
However, I tried to load Luminate, the pack I bought last night. Not loading. Still working on it.
I rebooted DS a couple of times, and now the app is showing in my library, but now getting the not owned message.
It's clear that no app should require so much messing about to get a simple task done.
Glad the app install worked - hopefully Apple will provide a permanent fix for the problem. Regarding the pack install - are you logged in to the correct account on the Mac?
Yes, just checked, I'm logged in on the website correctly. Is there somewhere in the app I can log out and in again? When I click on the download licenses button that should give me the option, but nothing is happening.
Click on the 'FILE...' button at the top left, then click 'Logout...' When you click on 'FILE...' again, you have a 'Login...' option.
One possible way to load the library is to select the 'FILE BROWSER' tab in the 'BROWSE' window - the library might appear in the list even if it's not showing in 'SAMPLE STORE' or 'MY LIBRARIES'...
Jesus wept, what a bugfest
Dave is a clever and imaginative musician but possibly not the best coder. The concept is good, but the execution can be a little sketchy...
Yep, he should really consider getting a skilled coder on board. Decent Sampler looks like a potentially lucrative venture so that would hopefully be affordable.
Thanks! Sorted.
+1
New update, and DS doesn't remember which preset was used in AUM...
Yep... Disaster... Please email the dev ppl
Got a reply from the dev, new update has been submitted and a fix should be out soon. BTW, new update supports scala import and has a few other nice tuning-related features which some here will really appreciate.
Yep, this has messed with some stuff I was working on BIG time😡
Where can I find the dev’s email @Gavinski ?
One of the things I may suggest is a name change; something like “ not decent sampler”
Weirdly when I get this problem (no instrument loaded in Decent Sampler) if I select any of the instruments the one I had originally saved in AUM is loaded!
Ok, that's good to know. Maybe some of the projects I thought were doomed could be salvaged....
Thanks @enkaytee !
What's scala?
The update sounds good, especially the fix. So it's nice there are some added goodies. It's hard not to despair at Decent Sampler sometimes.
Have a Google!
"Scala is a powerful software tool for experimentation with musical tunings, such as just intonation scales, equal and historical temperaments, microtonal and macrotonal scales, and non-Western scales."
So basically now you can have microtonal DS!
Many apps support scala files - Fluss, Fundamental2 and Thermo, and tons more.
And don't forget about those apps by Alex Nadzharov (spelling?) that allow you to split an octave into basically as many divisions as you like.
All those 'edo' apps

Surprise surprise... Another problem with the latest DS app - I have tried importing two 3rd party libraries, one from Venus Theory, 1 from Dave Holowitz, both suffixed with dslibrary. Each time the import failed. Anyone else?
I mean the name 'decent' was modest, but clearly not modest enough. This thing is driving me batshit. Indecent Sampler more like...
Maybe they are 'double zipped' and just renamed and that could confuse the import routine?
I'm kinda happy I didn't fall into the DS Sampler rabbit-hole as I would have likely thrown the iPad out the window long time ago, piece of garbage badly coded crap that should not even have passed Apples app verification procedure unless the devs are friends with them and know what strings to pull?!
But sure it's free so no point in complaining, just delete it and move on I guess...
Finally worked after multiple tries. These sounds are great but seriously - a very badly coded app with an appalling UI, apart from the pretty pics, and no end of frustrations.
If you have paid for sound libraries then I understand the frustrations. If only using free sounds with a free app then I wouldn't use such harsh words. We all know coding auv3 has never been easy and that Apple's documentation is severely lacking.
I must say I have not run into any import problems yet. Not many crashes either, but I have not used a bunch of instances.
I have paid for quite a few packs, spending maybe around $100 in total, including Patreons. Almost 2 years after the launch of the app, and given the number of problems reported by a multitude of people, here and elsewhere, I think a bit of harshness is justified. This app is not a charity, it is a business venture, don’t kid yourself otherwise.
