Awwww yisssssss I could sense it!
Between the next big drambo update, and the impending release of Scaler... I'm actually kind of enjoying the little beta-breadcrumbs on this forum.
Thanks for building the hype @rs2000 and @Samu
speaking of scaler, i have a feature request for the 2030 update — to be able to open at least two auv3 plugin views. it turns out recording chords from scaler into ooda is a bit cumbersome without it.
This pic seems interesting…
I have a feeling you'll be happy with the update, I'll leave it at that
Blown away by the latest beta drop its like that first day at Loopy Pro School. Way to go @Beepstreet.
Hopefully it'll be done soon so everyone else can enjoy it too
So, what blew you away?
It's a secret. Coming soon.
The hype train has gotten beyond lame.
461 (soon to be 462...) comments so far on this thread, covering a yet-to-be-released set of features in a widely loved app. Most dev would kill for this level of exposure for released apps
I know I keep checking back here to see if the new features are released yet, so clearly I've got a 1st class ticket on this hype train
Agreed, the teasing without releasing has been much too long.
There are good reasons why that is but nonetheless... 😉
i think this whole situation shows why devs usually don’t announce that something is coming until it’s basically ready. not a criticism towards beepstreet, I know this was not supposed to be that way. hype is bs. can’t wait for the release 😆
Yes, I reckon you’ll be rather pleased at the additional song-making possibilities in the new update. This part of the app has been completely redesigned - there’s a very important new mode that will be getting a LOT of attention on here.
Sorry guys couldn’t resist. But from a drum machine sequencer initially this things turning into a insane beast of a DAW. @Beepstreet is getting so many things right on every level. It’s the closest your get to Ableton Live / Elecktron Hybrid now on iOS/ iPad OS just add a few decent controllers.
We know!
Great..
How tightly does Drambo sync to MIDI clock?
Is Drambo getting a clip-launcher and a linear arranger? If so, can both be used at the same time?
Quite well!
The only yet unsupported MIDI status message is "Continue".
Clock slave offset can be fine adjusted by positive and negative amounts to make it really tight.
Clip launcher yes, linear arranger no.
Maybe ask Ableton to release Live Suite on iOS for $29.99? 😉
wrong post
Will Drambo system still work well on 2 ipads. Drums on ipad. Synths on other ipad. Not sync. I mean the general system of how Drambo is designed to be. Will there also still be an ok pattern indicator to show where you are in song? If a drum part spans loads of patterns. Then you play a synth. You need to know when to chill, when nearly stopping playing synth. I think it will obviously work with 2 ipads but cant see the song indicater patterns.
In answer to your questions.
Yes.
I use two ipads all the time.
Cheers Grav. Hope you cool mate.
The Dev seems to be a legend.
Since finally getting drambo a few weeks ago, I’ve been insanely productive with it to the point where I have a few songs at ~80%-90% “complete” (most of my “songs” stall out probably between “one cool riff” and “a few cool loops”). I’m already smitten with the pattern chaining, so all this talk about expanded sequence-sequencing is exciting.
Two of my favorite workflows over the past few years have been the Elektron sequencer (Model:Samples) and AU hosting in AUM… and drambo essentially combines those two things while offering a lot more… AND an easy way to keep everything locked in. Drambo has radically changed my GAS shopping list.
Well, you can line up the clip scenes to be linear if you want, I guess, and just hit play.
Well it will still remain the concept of scenes, not a 999 bar recording in one go (I'd use LK hosted in Drambo for that).
Clip launcher is perfect. And nice tight MIDI sync ain't easy to find. Thanks @rs2000!
No worries.
I'm all good here, hope all is well with you also.
He is.
77 is indeed a good number !
