Hiding and waiting for the right moment...
Damn
Well, I was wrong.
By the way, is there any way to get audio from Drambo through Airplay?
Settings -> AIrPlay & Hand Off.
Set it to 'ask' and when your iDevice finds an AirPlay enabled speaker it will ask you to connect, done...
Thanks. Unfortunately I have it set up exactly that way and I can't get audio from Drambo through Airplay speakers. Without any problem I can have sound from Aum, Audioshare, Zeeon, Sunrizer or any other synth, but with Drambo it doesn't work. I thought it was a matter of some settings.
That's weird, I have no problems AirPlaying Drambo to my AppleTV (tvOS15.4.1) with sound and everything...
I'm running iOS15.4.1 on my iPhone 8 with 'AppStore' version of Drambo and iPadOS15.4.1 with 'Drambo Beta'.
Thanks again, I have all OS on my iPhone and iPad up to date. Looks like something is wrong with my hardware.
Strangely enough I can't get audio through Airplay on iPad and iPhone, but I can with Drambo on MacBook Air. The only difference I noticed is in the audio settings in Drambo - on iPad and iPhone Sample rate is 48000Hz and on MacBook 44100 Hz. Maybe this is the reason, but when I try to change it to 44100hz on both the iPad and iPhone I get a message about hardware incompatibility or another app is controlling it.
But thank you, I was more curious than I need. My sound goes through cable or headphones anyway.
Some newer devices have their hardware sample-rate locked to 48k so the only way to work-around that is to use an external audio-interface. For example my old iPad Air 2 can use both 44.1k and 48k while my iPhone 8 is locked to 48k.
So the iOS error of 'another application os currently controlling it' is utter BS.
They / Apple should instead type 'We're sorry we here at Apple decided to lock the hardware sample rate to 48k and you can not change it...'
I've not tried the Apple USB-C -> 3.5mm dongle but it may allow sample-rate change if/when needed.
So. those notes will literally be ‘jumping around’ with PLock ‘Skip’, etc. in the Piano-roll?
Don’t think any Piano-roll yet has that going on.. Should be interesting..
@RajahP No.
Step components will control the conditional or modified playback of notes but they won't change the notes you've placed.
A few posts back you asked for MIDI file import. It's on the roadmap but it won't come with the next release.
I want it for myself but for now, I can live with recording live from LK or using that as a sequencer.
Will there be anything in the new update to make song arrangement easier? Also when? 😬
For the former? Yup for sure, for the latter? no idea.
Question 1. Yes, definitely.
Question 2. When It's done
🥳
The wait is killing me… 😩
Thanks.. Midi import will be a blast.. saving so much time..
I remember when it was maybe going to be out for Thanksgiving.
It’s another staging of the classic play “Waiting for Drambot”. Only 187 pages to go on this thread.
Ho hum we must all carry on.
Quick question, who was Samuel Becket a personal secretary for during his early years as a writer?
Early life in Dublin? I’d go with James Joyce as a guess.
There's so much that you can do with the current AppStore version already!
For example, find or build synth racks, effect combinations, generative sequencers, a set of sliced loops or custom instruments sampled into the Sampler module.
You'll certainly find that useful once you start composing with the new tools to come.
Honestly the only thing I want is for the sequencer to be MIDI mappable, which as I understand is still in the backlog. I really want to recreate the hands on Elektron workflow, with tactile sequencing and p-locking.
Yeppers.
Will there be any new modules in the update? I’d love to see some more expanded options with the math section. I finally realized I can sort of recreate schematics using some of the math modules there so it would be cool to see that expanded more
Nice video from @seonnthaproducer and @Gravitas showcasing some new stuff for the impatient
Is there a way in the new version to trigger a pattern unquantized? I know you can do instant pattern switching currently but if you switch on the first beat of the bar it misses the first beat in the sequence.
Think 'scene/clip based' sequencing.
You can cue up individual track clips to start on time rather than just start all tracks in a pattern at once...
(You can see a glimpse of the clip view in the video above).
As much as this is obviously very useful, it’d be great to have an option to play instantly when triggered, a bit like hold mode in atom2, or how you can play hammerhead patterns with midi.
You can instantly play a CLIP when triggered.

So more like playing the patterns as 'samples' ? (ie. they play as long as the key is held down).
For that I would just render the clips to audio and load them into the sampler...
I believe (or hope?) some of the recently added features point to that direction, also it was discussed in slightly different context as well (polyrhythm/polymeter). Though not ‘fully unquantized’ but free enough...
The upcoming version is about to cover the most typical use cases, but giku is and will be listening
