  • OP ended with a question, a fantastic tool to generate engagement.

    And.. engagement was got.

As few mentioned that it is a reasonable question/discussion, but JH wasn’t the right target... makes me wonder, who would you consider a drive by? :D

    Oh, that’s by the by.
I walked into it and it was very important.

However something has come from this
thread which has pleased me greatly.

An apology was made, not my one
to be clear, that showed me the
    character of both persons involved.

    It was good to see.
Everyone of us can be right but it takes maturity to see
when we’ve been wrong and to admit it publicly no less
and equally so to accept the apology.

Kudos to the both of you
    @seonnthaproducer and @ksound

    That took courage.
    Respect.

Really... If you make IOS music related videos and want to increase your audience you would post here
and maybe a few other places... Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, "YoungAsianCheerlLeaders", etc.

Do we need to create a cancel culture when we have "ignore" for anyone that offends thine eyes?
And stoning make have biblical precedent but I think we can "be best" (Thanks Melania for championing a more civil society and making bullying "uncool".) Oops... mentioning politics is the true "drive by".

  • WTF. We used to have this kind of “interesting” interchange on political issues. Now we’re all so exhausted (inc me) that politicsl discussion feels futile.

Lol, I got the most heat for complaining 3 yrs ago about posters using your for you’re. We all have our social media moments. Now, how bout that Alec Baldwin?

    Don't agree.

He unwisely mentioned Jakob and that was the spark that blew the whole thing up. If he didn't mention anyone by name then there would have been no drama.

I think it is nice that people wanted to come to Jakob's defence.

    Agreed.

I will say that it shouldn't come at the cost of stomping
someone else to the ground that is also a part of this community.
Hey, Ashh gave me Cubasis 3 and least I forget why.
His hearts in the right place.
    He's a good guy.

I always liked the idea of pistols at 20 paces. Cleaner and more digital. Fisticuffs are too analog for me.

You probably noticed that I said "Don't agree", not "You're wrong". We can agree to disagree without unnecessary bloodshed

I personally don't know squat about guns except for what I've seen in the movies.
    I wouldn't mind fencing.
I did try ancient Gaelic fighting once upon a time.

Fisticuffs are too analog for me.

    I've got brothers.
Growing up it was fisticuffs all day.
For me it's a sign of respect when I say put 'em up.

Yeah, I did notice the phrasing. Agreed. 😁

  • After skimming this boring thread, all I came away with is the realization that the op did a drive-by. Stirred a pot full of nothing and then didn’t participate. Big ol’ nothing thread.

    True.

What do we think of Troll Shit Posts?

(Now I need to single out a highly respected target).

Like the crap @LinearLineman posts when he's not pushing out music like a teenage welfare
    queen drops babies.

(See I added a little political toxic sludge in the mix.)

    Slow news day.

    @McD …what?

@Gravitas … I fenced for City College of NY in 1965. You’d like it. You’d probably fence foil. The most delicate and artistic of the three weapons. Sabre was for slashing and cutting. I fenced Epee… it’s what tall guys do. I fenced against Columbia and lost. I fenced against Annapolis… and won. However, the crotch strap of my vest went wrong on the winning lunge. It crushed my testicles. The thrill of victory… and the agony of de balls… both at the same time.

Today I can’t believe or understand how I did that. I’m rather non athletic . My style is like my singing voice. Ungraceful and potentially deadly…. To all parties.

    Too much information.

  • @Simon. That’s life, baby. Victory is not all one imagines it to be. If I just said I beat a midshipman at Annapolis… so the fuck what.

  • I wanna preemptively apologize for the dumb shit I’m gonna say in the future.
I gave up drinking many moons ago so you won’t even be able to chalk it up to drunk posting,
which will just make the dumb shit all the more dumb.
So, sorry everyone…that dumb shit I’m gonna say wasn’t meant to come out like that. My apologies.

For those of us that don’t know and perhaps new visitors - Does this post contain humour so understated that it is not immediately apparent? Or is is it intended to be as offensive as it first seems?

  • Segregation all the way... 2hours a day for politically correct, 2hours for the grammatically correct, 20min should be enough for YouTubers... you can earn your way up from the STFU status

Lol, I read this “scared for life”. Probably more accurate… at least when it comes to fencing. 😳

    Ha! - yeah, that too.

I've always been curious about fencing, such activities weren't available at school.
Our school encouraged team sports more than anything else.
I'm an average height guy, fast, I used to weight lift when I was in my teens
which stood me in good stead when I became a full time session drummer.
Saying this as a somewhat headstrong teen when miffed
the bigger the target the more acceptable the challenge.
Lugging 75 kilos around from rehearsals to gigs everyday one needs to have strength.
Martial arts was my thing when growing up and
then I focused all of my energies into music and dance.
Fencing sounds like it would keep me on my toes except for the crotch strap thing.
That sounds painful even from reading it.
    My sympathies right there.
    Focusing on the positive?
A belated congratulations on the win.

Today I can’t believe or understand how I did that. I’m rather non athletic . My style is like my singing voice. Ungraceful and potentially deadly…. To all parties.

    Lololol.
As it's that deadly then I'm sure it must've been and still is useful for certain occasions.
