Is like Absynth (the vst synth) but for ipad, the sounds are kinda
Tomorrow is the BIG day! If Wooji set this to release on the 26th worldwide, it might be one of those timezone things where some of you lucky people gets to try this out at midnight in a few hrs, and the US gets it last at like 11 EST or something. I hope he just decided that when it's Thursday in New Zealand, it's Thursday everywhere! Yea I'm like a kid in a toy store..:(
It's out in New Zealand, so it will be out at around midnight at your place during the next 24hrs. The price is $12.99 Kiwi dollars, which should translate into $9.99 US. Out at 11 PM EST on the US west coast. Ok, I thnk that covers the release schedule and pricing.
Here's the app info for those interested:
Synthesis without the spaghetti.
A powerful hybrid synthesiser with a magical interface.
From the creators of Grain Science and Sylo Synth (used by Gorillaz and The Flaming Lips).
Pick from 100 built-in patches — or design your own. Start with additive synthesis, wavetables, or a sophisticated mix. Add rich modulation, effects and filters, controlled by powerful LFOs and beyond. Make vibrant leads, vast soundscapes, compelling basses, warm bath or deep sea pads, and so much more.
The sound is complex, but the controls are not. Synth engine and UI both offer clarity and power — you’re holding in your hands a miracle of touch-screen technology, why limit it to the switches and dials of decades-old hardware?
Mitosynth takes a simple approach: With a tap, almost any dial can be switched out for a graph with automation controls, including LFOs, 5-stage DADSR envelopes, ingenious noise generator, BPM sync — and MIDI, of course. Plus XY pads for the hands-on approach.
And you can combine them. Use one automation to control which (or how much) of two others affect a setting. Many of the automation controls are themselves automatable. You can repeat this, going to deeper levels. LFOception!
The flexible FX chain means no messing with complicated routing tables, or stringing cables around until your screen looks like a plate of pasta: Slot the distortion, filter, delay and other effects you want, in the order you want. Simple!
Powerful like a modular synth. Clean and straightforward like a modern iOS app.
Quick List of Things You Might Want To Know Mitosynth Supports:
• Core MIDI • Virtual MIDI • Background Audio • Audiobus • AudioCopy/Paste • AudioShare • Dropbox • Performance Recording • Universal App •
Also features:
• Filters, crushers, distortion, warm fuzz, flanger, phaser, echo, tube resonance and chorus. Install up to four in any order — plus a high-quality reverb
• AM, PWM, Phase Mangulation, Supercharger unison mode
• Mono and Polyphonic glide, and Regular, Toggle and Latch sustain, customisable keyboard
• Slick patch and audio management with search and tagging
• Easily share patches with friends, including any additional audio they require
• Complete manual built-in, and available for download too
...and far more features than can be listed here. Check out the website for the full details!
Note: Wooji Juice thinks spaghetti is great providing it is on a plate with a nice sauce, not your screen
Any more videos while we wait ?
I'm ready. Bring it on.
This looks really nice, can't wait to see some videos of it running.I might pick this up at the weekend:-)
Instabuy. Along with only Sunrizer and BM2, Grain Science has retained a permenant spot on my device since download over 2 years ago, the granular synthesis works well with sample import and the effects are probably the best that I've heard in an instrument app. That price is very low considering the rare grade of quality from this company
Can't wait to dive right into its 'big vat' called Wavechamber and drown myself in phasers and warm fuzz
Such a good looking app, so much happening under the hood. This synth will have staying power. Moves right to the top of my list of synths. Great in-app manual as well.
Looks like it'll be spam sandwiches for the kids this weekend (again).
Cant wait to buy it
Just hit UK store. £6.99
Yep, downloading right now. Here goes...
Short intro video:

I don't think you're wrong. The sound reminds me of SynthMaster, which is high praise. That's the thing about synths. Someone adept at programming synths could approximate many, if not all of MitoSynth's sounds using other synths. It seems to me the draw for this particular app is the beautiful interface and ease of programming.
@Multitouch. Thanx a lot for the info
No problem @Aphex
This synth reminds me of a cross between Alchemy and Cube synth, very atmospheric, but to my ears not as warm sounding as Alchemy.
I suppose the advantage with this synth is you can program your own.
Then you could warm it up bit,if you like.
Well it's 02:30 in the UK now and I've just finished two twelve and a half hour shifts and I've got two days off, so I'm gonna get some shut eye then play with this tomorrow and tidy up my PD patches.
Good fire @multitouch!
Holy Space Bell of DOOM! <-- My favorite patch! It's out in the US (West Coast). @Multitouch Yes, much like alchemy and VirSyn's synths. Beautiful sounds and visuals.

If you like to have my MitoLibrary for free, this is the link for download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25570700/Sinapsya - MitoLibrary.zip
Cheers @Sinapsya. Greatly appreciated.
Is this the library of 200 extra patches? Or is that different?
No this is a different library of about 23 patches, and can someone help me out here, I have downloaded the zip and opened it in GoodReader, does anyone know how to import all the patches in one go, I seem to only be able yo select one at a time, if
I select all or even tick more than one I loose the OPEN IN option
I had to open in Audioshare and do them 1at a time but it only took a couple of minutes. Mito doesn't appear to accept zip files
