  • Hi @VirSyn …I think I may have found a bug with the Randomiser (with WAVES IAP). I have a patch which uses the WAVES module, but when I hit randomise, all that changes is the choice of Wavetable in WAVES 1. No other parameter seems to change in the patch.

Noticed that also. I thought it might be a setting but seems easily reproduced. 🤔
Undo would be awesome! Loving this amazing synth!

@VirSyn Guess you're aware of this already?

(Bug when modulating wavetable position with a ramp up/down wave).

This is not really a bug but a clash between the analog DNA of the classic engine with the digital nature of wavetable synthesis. The sawtooth waveform of the LFO should return instantly before rising again to be perfect for table scanning, but in "analog" reality there is no such thing as "instantly".

But anyway - each problem has a solution and this will be available with the next update coming very soon.

This is currently by design. Simply because I loved the ever changing presets getting only this way...
But I know there is a better way to do this and having the standard way. Stay tuned.

    Thanks!

Guess I'm just too used to being in 'Drambo Land' where I can select how the oscillators behave :sunglasses:
(ie. the 'Anti Aliasing Method' can be selected on a per oscillator basis and with it completely turned off it's a digitally perfect ramp with all it's aliasing glory which is perfect for modulation but for audio some don't like digital aliasing noises, I do! Also everything is calculated per sample so it's practically 'instant' or at least 1/44100th or 1/48000th of a second or faster depending on the used sample-rate).

In most synths the the 'we want no aliasing' can have a negative impact when 'sharp' modulation is needed (think modulating the oscillator pitch with a slowish square wave (1-50Hz) at one octave intervals to create direct 'jumps' between 0 and +12 semitones, with interpolation/smoothing/anti-aliasing on the modulation source it just sounds wrong when the pitch 'glides' between values).

I look forward to the update and I'm happy that this is getting fixed so I can fully enjoy the WT IAP I got a few days back :sunglasses:

    Cheers!

    New version 1.6 released!

    • Dark mode adaption
    • Copy/Paste timbre layer
    • LFO waveforms "sharpened" for better wave scanning

  • This is so great. Looks as badass as it sounds now. Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to Tera Pro. It has my vote for synth of the year.

Should really have put a comma after that 'banging' to avoid any double entendre style interpretations lol

  • Who’s banging Harry?

Love the new dark mode! I might actually use this synth now…

  • Not to derail the thread, but many folk would appreciate a dark mode for Fluss, I reckon

@VirSyn How do you turn on dark mode?

The dark mode is coupled with the dark mode appearance setting on the iPad ( on the Tab "Display & Brightness ). You have to restart Tera Pro to see the change.

My suggestion is to add an option to select Light / Dark / System.
I generally have my system in Light Mode mode but some apps look better in Dark Mode :sunglasses:

Any chance of this becoming Universal for iPhone? I find myself reaching for the iphone more often just out of convenience.

    Thanks

  • Thanks - looks great! I was looking for it under settings tab in the app itself.

Smae Here! Loving all the sounds one can dream of on this amazing Synth! 👏

  • Anybody used the copy/paste layer function already ? is it working for you in the way you have expected ? @Tones4Christ , ...

  • edited December 2022

@VirSyn Thanks! Loving this new feature!
When I was pasting layer A to a pad, for some reason the layer was still sounding on layer A on the preset that I was intending it to paste it to. But I hadn't yet pasted it. This kind of made me a bit confused. But then I tried it again and it worked great!

I also got the hang of splitting layers on the keybed so that a Pad plays on my left hand up to a certain point in the keybed and then, I can have a different layer sound on my right hand. That is pretty awesome!
