  • Yonac just replied to me on Twitter and said it is Apples servers... How am I not surprised??

looks like you get quite a lot in the base package: http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/store.html Also looks like the splitting stuff is included in the base package. http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/specs.html

  • NO APPLE, YOU TRY AGAIN LATER.

    Just installed it...(Netherlands) each amp/effect bundle (7) 8,99 euro, 8-track 4,49, Motherload 44,99
...and now for trying it out!

  • Woa! Just noticed in that video that you can use either global MIDI assignments or save them with the patch. Epic.

Also noticed a pitch shifter/time stretcher in the TapeDeck mode. shawhat?

  • @telecharge, i'm a non-guitarist who will totally buy this. i really enjoy putting any raw sound through any effect to see what will happen!

    LMAO.....right? Bastards.

  • Aaaaargg. I'm full of caffeine and ready for ToneStack and the sale still doesn't go through. Maybe this means that it's super popular and millions of guitar players around the world are jamming Apple. ToneStack will be the Angry Birds of the music apps for a day. Probably not. Just a thought.

  • Same here......been amped for this for hours. HURRY UP APP STORE!

  • DLing now!

  • 4,49€... nice ;)

  • $4.99 is an Intro Price for a "limited time only!"

  • Yep... all the IAP are summing up. Did i need the Motherload 1.0? 44,99€ is heavy but i think worth all the stuff. If i need it.... no... but app addicted!

  • oh my. glitchbreaks->tonestack. Try the default GB sounds via the "Doubled Octave..." preset in TS.

  • Still bloody unavailable in the Oz store

  • Doesn't work for me in effects slot of AB getting a terrible noise running Guitarism into it anyone else?I sent Yonac a message via support on his site.

  • Works fine so far... the only thing i missunderstood i think is i thought it could also handle stereo input. But i think it split also just a mono input with the A/B/Y splitter. I know it's mainly for guitar stuff but. Then the basic pack should be enough for now ;)

No problem for me. iphone and ipad. I tried it via IAA with Auria and had nothing but problems. Crashes and no audio to be slightly more precise.

Same and same and same. :(

  • I had the same issues with auria. Then I ran aufx dub and space as IAA inserts on aux1 and suddenly tonestack worked , but it's shaky. Auria didn't like jamup or Magellan as IAA effects either tonight. I don't really use IAA much, and this is why. But, audiobus as a send from auria is broken until the update arrives, so I will have to keep playing with it.

On the upside, the plate sim was a little more expensive than I figured but I got it anyway and it does sound great. I also bought the compressor, but that will be it for a while for me unless they have a good sale down the road. Or perhaps they might be able to make this into a native auria plug in, that would be incredible.

still says that item is no longer available in the Australian store. Anyone been able to purchase?

  • Yikes 200 MB! Was really hoping it was not going to take up that much space.

  • Have only tried it as stand-alone with my guitar so far... and now my iPad is recharging...
Have you guys experimented with buffer and simulation quality in the ToneStack and AB settings menus?

Sounds fine in stand-alone but I still think BIAS and Flying Haggis have a slightly less digital feel. Difficult to compare because of differences in knobs and such.

I like the interface although I would have liked it better if one could call up a unit's interface by simply touching it in the signal path display instead of using a scrollbar.

200Mb is not too bad actually, less than half of JamUp Pro...and a few bits more than BIAS. I wonder if that includes pre-loaded IAPs though, or if the IAPs will add to the footprint after purchase.

I know the "hardware vs. software" comparison is old, but I still look at it this way.

List price today for the Boss DS-1 distortion pedal $49.99

    http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/boss-ds-1-distortion-pedal.

Now add 17 more distortion pedals on top of that. Plus, amps, other effects, 8-track recorder...

Yes but then you have to add all of the hardware bits: blueboard: £80 expression pedal: £40 ipad: £350 ;)

That's strange mate, you should have been the first in the queue!
Edit: you sure you didn't accidentally search for tone slack?....or suck?

  • No, it shows in the store but you just can't buy it.

  • Touch it twice in the chain to bring up the unit interface.

I think it's good so far; slightly more digital sounding than JamUp or FH, like was said above.

I didn't mess around with any of the presets; just jumped right in and made my own double chain. Sounds good, although I'm getting some noise issues and I've tracked it to the Tube Screamer.

Will try the presets tomorrow and see what's up.

  • @thinds: having the same issue, trying to purchase but says the app is no longer available.

  • Cheers @thatsRayor, must be a staggered release. I will try in a few hours, hopefully I will have lost interest by then.
