  • Started to build a deck and mic template and this isnt even complete, fx wise for just mic.

    Before buying bleass voices. I had an ipad 9 just for synths. Drums on other ipad.

    Enough cpu

    But with this vocal stuff. Not sure and definately so. If no idle.

    Even with an 8gb ipad for vocals and synths. You would want to idle all this.

    Not even sure if Il sing anway lol.

    The 6 purple tracks are for synths.

    No way theres 6 synths. Although 6 synths might not be needed and sometimes will gain aum stems also of synths that arnt good in drambo.

    With the incomplete vocal setup and numerous samplers. fx for everything. Synths. Automation. Output mastering etc.

    You think an ipad 5 might be ok?

    Will Drambo ever be multicore also. Is an ipad 9 multicore?

    Its annoying. Could have bought the ipad air 5 but will cost about £1000 now. Instead of whatever its to buy.

  • Havent tested the vocal setup. Just added modules by theory of what might seem good.

  • The sub and bass arnt synths on this ipad. Other ipad. I could just not use multi instance drums on other ipad. Enough cpu but like my build.

    Although not really tested that either.

    To be honest.

    I just now obcess about cpu and think I gotta buy ipads.

    Just out of principle of working out. What seems nice.

  • Apart from ipad pro. Maybe an air and not dealing with multiple ipads.

    I put my vocal chain on my drum ipad.

    Might be better to know if ipad is capable, as drums will generally be the same and not an unknown cpu synth.

    But idle would be cool.

    Although it needs to work, when not idle.

    Are you looking to learn the modular aspects or sequencing first? If it's the latter, then make sure it's specific to v2 since it changed quite a lot from v1. These are all good in my opinion:

    It might be worth mentioning to all Drambo users, and this may be out there already; I’ve never seen it, but that it is indeed possible to record midi AU instruments (Tonality, GeoShred, ect.—minus MPE). I figured out how to record them into Drambo’s main track sequencer and listen to playback immediately, without having to drag and drop the recorded midi onto an AU version of Drambo, which is how I originally learned from one of Leo’s awesome tutorials.
    I speak of using Drambo as the host.

    I only say this cause I’ve only ever read on the form that this cannot be done.
    Apologies if I have missed this somewhere else. Also, I have yet to watch all the videos. There’s a lot of them.

    It used to be that way but as of Drambo 2.20 (December 9, 2022) AUv3 MIDI can now be recorded to the sequencer without workarounds.

    LOL, you listed it exactly like it is on my bookmarks, in the same order. For those who want to learn Drambo you can’t find better than this.

    Activity in the Drambo thread almost got me heart-attacked, thought a new update is coming. 😂

    Ok that explains it, because Drambo and I weren’t a serious thing until V2.

    I’m not sure if what I am doing is considered to be efficient or if this is a workaround. It doesn’t feel like a workaround to me. Just checking in case I’m overlooking something and taking unnecessary steps.

    So for Drambo instruments I do this:

    And for AUs I simply eliminate the CV to midi module

    All I do is hit record on the Drambo midi fx and the magic happens. I only hit record on both they host and midi mod if I need to take advantage of auto grow clip.

  • I just realized that the Drambo MIDI AU is redundant and not needed for my purposes.

  • I already have been using a button module + CC Generator Module for achieving a nice way of controlling something else without leaving the specific Drambo track, but now what do I need to do to generate a CC with a specific value?
    For those who are familiar with ArpBud, I’m trying to set something up to change ArpBud patterns, hopefully on the same track that ArpBud is on, thus leaving ArpBud closed. So CC10 and then a value of 1-127 for the pattern change.
    In the past, before Drambo, I used a Mozaic script to achieve this. And I suppose I can again, but curious if there’s another option using Drambo modules.

    @Blipsford_Baubie - One way is to divide the value sent by whatever (button, etc) by 127.

    You can add a number module set to 127, followed by a divide module connected to the sender and the number. Then connect that to the CC generator.

    For instance: Button set to value 100 + Number 127 + Divide button value by Number will equal 100 from the cc generator.

I succeeded using the info that you provided before you edited your message, but I’m grateful of your edit because I had made my MIDI rack failing to realize I can use the button’s value. In short, I thought I needed to add a new button module, number, and divide number for each CC value. Now i can clean this up much better. Thanks again!

  • Hi @wim . I’ve been using the above setup and just saying thanks again, because this is the first time I’ve gotten to see a use case for the math modules.

    Can the same principles apply for other Drambo modules knobs, as opposed to CC values?

    For example, using a button to jump directly to another one of Drambo’s knob parameter, such as Drambo’s native knob that controls Drambo’s own native arp rate, as a specific example actually.

  • Is there a way to make this velocity sensitive?

    I noticed some synths are velocity sensitive and some arnt.

    You can just set Amount in the Amp Env module to zero and then modulate it with the velocity ("V" output) of the MIDI to CV module:

    @wim sometimes that works however it does depend upon
    the input you’re trying to modulate or set the value of.
    Sometimes the inputs are scaled 1:1 and sometimes it’s 1:2.
    You simply have to try and see what happens.
    For instance when the LFO is set to Prog or 1/something or other
    you divide the input by the amount of rate choices you have so for
    Prog you would have 11 rates so divide 1 by 11 however when it’s set to freq then use pitch values.
    For Beat there’s 16 rates.
    I always have the calculator handy when setting those values.

    that way when sending a signal through to modulate something.
    Useful for when using an external midi controller.

    What exactly does the Prog setting sync to? Can’t find any mention on the help and to be honest I never used it
