Prog is synced to tempo and the rate is the amount of divisions per Bar.
TIL, thanks!
A setting of 1/1 syncs with a full bar, and it goes up to 1/64. Neat!
Thanks @wim and @Gravitas . I managed to make buttons to select my commonly used arp speeds on the native arp.
I did have a sweet setup going with ArpBud 2 using Wim’s math modules suggestion for changing patterns presets, but it seems from my experience that AU arps don’t play well with Drambo. With both Arpbud2 and Ooda, I get notes that sometimes don’t trigger. I’m referring to the notes recorded to a Drambo pattern. They don’t always trigger the Arp. Or maybe the arp don’t trigger the instrument. I should mention that I’m using the arp to trigger Flexi, not an instrument.
I checked and tinkered with as many things as I can think of, every single MIDI to CV setting, Flexi’s settings, how or if notes are overlapping on the pattern, quantize off/on.
But it’s all good cause with Gravitas’s additional knowledge, i recreated Arpbud2 with all Drambo modules, and as long as no notes over lap on the pattern grid, it works as expected.
I’m using two graphic mods to replace the velocity and gate lanes in Arpbud2. Even better cause the times can be independent if desired. I’m using maths and buttons to change arp speeds. Far easier than using the knob on an iPhone SE2.
Feels 😊 cause this is my first experience utilizing Drambo to fabricate an after market AU, rather than complaining about what I can’t do. Team Drambo!
@Blipsford_Baubie those issues maybe something for @giku_beepstreet
Awesome.
It’s quite fun creating your own versions of apps that are already in existence.
Yeah, Team dRambo. 😁
@Blipsford_Baubie by the way you mentioned using the Flexisampler?
sometimes if the Fade out is to long then it may
miss a note when the Midi to CV is set to 1 voice.
I’ve just encountered it in my current project.
Thanks for the tip @Gravitas . I just tried with the shortest “fade out” setting but it still happens.
Have you got the number of voices set higher than 1 in the MIDI to CV module?
@wim, that was the first thing I looked at. I Originally and intentionally set to one voice, cause I’m using Flexi to resequence. I had also tried 2,3,4 voices but still the same result. I also messed with the other settings, round Robin, last note first, trigger overlapping notes off.I also make sure notes do not overlap on the sequencer. That I noticed helps but isn’t consistent.
Re-made my setup across devices.
Noticed Drambo play button dosent trigger.
But worse its not going to sync across devices.
The ipads dont start at the same time.

Is it a virus lol.
I just rebooted internet because I think link uses wifi?
To have a vodaphone popup when launching Drambo.
I found the problem.
Its an app.
A pro question. How to bend the wave with possibility to modulate the bending point? Graphic shaper is not an option as there is no way to control it.
Do you want to move the point or do you want to soften it?
For the former you’ll have to get a bit deeper and use Graphic shapers and morph between them
for the latter you could try using the Slew Limiter and adjust the rise and fall to taste.
Hey man thanks! I know you know the deal. What I want is actually this type of control (if you are familiar with audspr), for amp modulation
How would you morph between 2 shapers?
I know Audspr and I tried it when it was on public beta however it didn’t tickle my boxes.
Just to clarify are you trying to adjust the shape of the oscillator or the amplitude?
Ahhh, use the Saw wave send it through a couple of Graphic shapers and then bring
them together using a Switch module and use a Slider or Knob to morph between.
Something like this…
It doesn’t have to be a Saw wave, it could be any wave shape you like.
Wow that is smart, didnt know the switch can use a fade control. Will try. I would like to do AM thing with OSC as a modulation source, so you can go well above 130 hz limit of drambo modulators. But it is a static wave and I wanted to replicate Audspr AM section where you can morph the modulator wave
Okay, I’ll have think about that in regards to the modulation stuff and
yeah,..it is smart I learnt that from @rs2000.
Just stack them up in layers and play around with them, it’s a lot of fun
and basically you’re creating your own oscillator shapes.
Shapers do the trick, not in same way but quite close. Thanks again for that.
Just to share, for me now it goes like buying new synths are eventually only to better understand some workflow and design elements they have, to make the same thing in drambo 😂. The learning takes time (still use about 60% of possibilities) but is very rewarding.
Agreed.
I got a Crave earlier this year
and the first thing I did was build
a synth in dRambo with similar architecture.
I’m going to make another attempt
soonish now that I’ve put together a
pitch to cv tuner for self oscillating filters.
Have a read here where I write about
that and other things besides.

Drambo is crashing on save and takes a while to open project. Since making a template of 40+ ( unused patterns )
So program can be used without looping.
Is it too much data and crashing or something else ?
Cant make a template. Begin a track or use ipads and all gear bought if it cant save many patterns.
Its crashing on another ipad when making 40 patterns as a template.
So whats the point spending 4k on a music setup ?
If this isnt a bug and just a resource issue. Just saving blank pattern amounts, contributes to automation, without automation or anything but apps ready.
People from UK will be buying a load of nice gear.
@sigma79 can you post up or P.M me your template.
Hello Grav.
Template is mainly just audio routings.
So cpu shouldnt be bad.
It crashes other ipad templates, when adding 40+ patterns.
It cant be resources ?
@sigma79
I experienced something similar last night on one of my templates. Simply pressing undo after recording a single note from a MIDI AU(Xeq Pads) into the track sequencer would crash Drambo. This was repeatable.
So today I increased the buffer in Drambo’s setting to 1024 from 512. Haven’t had a single crash using undo. 👍
BTW, I wish I understood how undo is intended to behave. It is undoing stuff I recorded from prior takes, ie toggling record off and on again on the midi AU in between takes. Even if was recorded on a different scene/pattern, but same track.
