Status update....It's under review at Apple right now (Source VirSyns FB). Let's hope they don't mess around with it too long. Could be a few hrs, could be longer..But it's VirSyn and I'm sure they won't get into any trouble with the review process

    Tweet from VirSyn:

"Just got the notification from Apple that Tera Synth is in review now - should be available in the appstore very soon..."

  • Thanks for the update @ChrisG. I shall hold my cheese tightly.

  • Is it too early to start checking the App Store? No, it is not.

  • If NZ (ChrisG I reckon..?) haven't called it by early evening in the UK.. I'm usually safe sleeping instead of checking ;) He's my early warning system :)

  • I'm in Sweden, I do have a NZ account though I use to look for new stuff. :)

But this is'nt gonna be one of those app releases with a release date set. It's gonna be out worldwide as soon as Apple sets it free.

  • I don't wear it, I play it... here goes.

  • Only $9.99 , pretty insane deal :)

  • Buy it now....good night guys, is time to play ;-)

  • Anyone else seeing graphics glitches? Many of the labels don't completely fit in the little boxes. (ipad2). Version 1.01 here we come?

Sounds really nice, can't wait to hook my keyboard and speakers up....

  • Still waiting, from Spain...

Nope. Prolly a retina vs non-retina thing, I'm sure they'll clean it up

  • No issues here, iPad Air.

Great sound, great interface! Congrats VirSyn, again! :D

    BADASSHARDCORE.

  • @ChrisG - yes - text not fitting in boxes. I'm sure it'll get fixed - but - present on a mini original. Sounds great. Not really sure I like the sliding interface though - too much sliding to and fro. Tabbed or paged would be better I think. Just my thoughts.

TBH, there are plenty of interface design areas that could be more user friendly. Sound is top notch though, no question.

It's obvious (seems to me at least) they've drawn from the ARP 2600/Odyssey look and feel and that's nice in its way - even as it's obviously different from their desktop version. However, I think they could do with thickening up / rounding out some of the sliders, gauges, etc. to make it a tad easier to see what's set.

  • I think what might be nice also, is a kind of "map" overview screen. What I mean is something that identifies in one view what's wired to what when one has set up connections. Does that make sense to anyone else? The idea being one can see at a glance what's routed where without having to scroll. For me that'd be in addition to a tabbed / paged view instead of scrolling. Another $0.02 :-)

  • Agree with all that- but I think generally once an app makes it to a final release and it goes on sale, the interface is not going to change much. Especially with a company like Virsyn, who, while they make excellent synths, doesn't have much of an interactive, personal presence.

Like the idea of the overview....might not interfere with too much else to add it, but imagine there are other priorities. Quality sounds it seems at first cursory (greedy) skim...

    Bug?

Took a fancy to a random variation of the first patch, saved it with a new name (an extension of the original) which shows up in the library, but does not load.

Drawback. Or rookie error on my part.

Edit: I did reboot, just in case. No dice. Running Air/latest IOS.

  • I can't seem to load any of my saved patches.

  • My saved patches are loading OK.

  • edited July 2014

Same here, can't load saved patches... (?) Air, latest iOS.

  • No problems here so far...iPad Air iOS 7.1.2

  • Same here, no probs. Modifying an existing then saving and also making a patch from scratch using init. Air 7.1.2

  • Interesting. Some do, some don't. Must be a commonality between us unluckier souls. Something obvious probably (not fully changing the original name, making very particular kinds of changes etc etc) but a bug none the less....let's hope someone from over there is reading over here...

  • Just tried it further trying to replicate this, but couldn't. Used long names, short names and various symbols but they all worked OK. Very odd.
