^ I agree with @ChrisG that Nave and Thor have two of the best keyboard UIs available. The Nave keyboard (esp. the blades option) is very expressive and the Thor design is very clever. If they were combined...! ;-)
You would have a clever knave....(perhaps hammer-weilding).
One feature I wish all iOS synths should have is a way to mark favorite patches. Sunrizer app, I think, does this the best. It allows you to simply mark a patch as a Favorite. It then shows up in an automatic Favorites bank. It even keeps the category the patch belongs to (pads, leads, etc.); and you can click on the category and it just lists those Favorites in that group.
It would be neat if Tera could allow you to swipe the patch to the right, and a hollow circle or star shows up on the left. You could then just tap the icon and it fills it in with a solid color to show it highlighted. When done, the colored icon remains highlighted on the left of the patch list to quickly see which are your Favorites are. An automatic bank of Favorites would also be helpful, like Sunrizer.
This is different from User patches that should also have their own bank. User patches could also be added tothe Favorites bank if desired.
These are just suggestions. I know it would help my patch management workflow.
^ User bank would be awesome. I never use presets, so it would be nice to have one place where I can put my patches!
The Favorite patches is also a great idea.
Yes, the awesome (and the best patch browser in the iOS world) in Mitosynth plus a kind of Nave Blades would be a killer combination... i can't praise enough the patch browser in Mitosynth. With tags, info description about a patch etc. it's on par with some of my favourite desktop synths.
Great synth but i don't like that you can't play the keyboard when there is a popup window, makes editing a lot less fluid.
plus 1000 for the favorite patches feature, especially when an app has as many presets as Tera.
I'll make life easier myself.I just delete all the patches i DON'T like.Only the favorites patches are left then ;-)
How's the midi on this? Has anyone explored this much on Tera yet? Can you send one external CC to several different destinations? I've run across a couple of ios synths that only allow one CC to one destination. Even Animoog did this last I checked. Does Tera remember the midi learn globally, or by patch, or both?
I'd prefer a midi matrix with a typeable field for input as well as midi learn. My ipad gets used as a font of synth modules a lot, so the external control features are important.
If you're still listening @VirSyn, I am totally digging Tera. A way to export/share/import presets without using iTunes would be high on my wish list.
Hey @VirSyn, thanks for making one of the best synths for iOS!
Few requests, as others may have mentioned...
Only a few devs realize one of the most important things about playing on a touchscreen - A big keyboard! SampleWiz got it almost right, as an example.
I wish all VirSyn synths (and all other keyboard apps) had the option found on the LOOP page of Addictive Synth, that's a reasonable keyboard size for playing. Tera could work that way, and two (or even four) assignable X/Y pads would be nice to fill the top of the page. And the option for sliding and resizing the keys, of course.
Hi all,
just want to let you know that the first update is in the store. A few bug fixes including the graphics weirdness with non-retina devices...
Next update is due to iOS8 in about 4 weeks but i hope to get at least some of your wishes also on board then.
I'm really loving Tera! & Thanks for the update! Before I download it though, will it overwrite my saved presets? (Just want to double check if I need to back them up first)
Also, totally agree with SuperNiCd re preset sharing - it'd be great to email presets / banks from one iPad to another. Also, agree that SampleWiz has a great onscreen keyboard, Animoog & Thor's are pretty nifty too..
Many thanks, & all the best!
Your presets are save, but it's always a good idea to back them up.
Nice! Non-retina text issues are fixed. Really enjoyed TERA so far, hard to feel like you aren't getting your money's worth with that degree of content, flexibility, and features.

with apologies if this was covered earlier in the thread, but will it be possible to play the keyboard and edit the Modulation popover screens at the same time? For instance, right now when the user opens up the LFO window and plays a note to try and test new LFO settings, the LFO window closes.
thanks!
Sorry, but other than the obvious way to use a MIDI Keyboard every touch outside closes the Popover. For this reason we've added the "MOD" page to edit the LFOs while playing on the keyboard. Hope we will find another solution for this though.
At least you're trying. Thanks.

Thank you for the explanation. It's not a showstopper, had just been curious about whether it was feasible.
And thank you so much for responding. I can't tell you how much it means to me (and probably others) that you all take the time to respond to user questions.
+1 Glad to see @VirSyn here on the forum.
^^^ this
this synth is surreal
This has moved to the top 3 of my list for favorite synths, loving this! Thanks for the awesome instruments
Can you assign more than one MIDI cc from Thesys to this (from the modulation section in Thesys)? I'm trying to MIDI Learn, but can only get one at a time. If I change the modulation slot in Thesys, I can't MIDI Learn a second knob in Tera without the first one being overriden. Does that make sense? Is there a step by step for configuring Thesys's cc's for multiple modulations? Thesys has 8 (I think) modulation slots that can all be sequenced at the same time, so I want to MIDI Learn each one to a different function within Tera.
@Michael_R_Grant you need to turn off all the other modulation track in Thesys so they don't overwrite. When you do the MIDI learn you should only have the one track on that you want the cc assigned to. Once you set all 8 and you turn off the MIDI learn in Tera - then you can turn all the modulation tracks in Thesys back on and it should work.
@VirSyn - thanks for fixing the OMAC name for TeraSynth. There remain two problems, however: 1: TeraSynth is not selectable by fast switch, and 2: Cube and MicroTERA still report themselves as Addictive. Can you say if and when these might get addressed?
@dwarman - 1. TeraSynth does not have the fast switching of OMAC built in. (Will think about it...) 2. Will be there with next update !
@Virsyn: I know you had heard this a lot i think but i hope that there will be some life on the iPhone too.
Indeed thank's for the sale on Tera 3, Cube 2 and Poseidon for each 99€ (or just 199€ for all the three monsters . Time to get some of these....
